Lets chat about the beauty products and brands you fell out of love with this year.

YSL Touche Éclat concealer pen, foundation, and Souffle powder. I now love Sisley Phyto Teint Éclat foundation, Chanel loose powder, and Gucci concealer pen. I will continue to use YSL mascara but that's it.

Tom Ford: Over priced. There are products just as good for a lot less.
Giorgio Armani: Too many formulation changes, most of their best products are discontinued.
Burberry: Lackluster products.

Love my touche eclat. Did you find something that worked better or just stop using all together?

Brands that I've pretty much given up on:
Bare minerals - still have a lot of shadows but no longer using any of the other products and I used to be pretty loyal
Laura Geller
Model Co
Lancôme
Chanel - used to love their mascara but found others I like better. Have tried a few of their other skin products but nothing that was that great to make me want to buy anymore of their beauty line.

I replaced the YSL touché Éclat with Gucci concealer pen.

I agree! I feel like either my skin or their formula (or both) has changed and it just doesn't work for me anymore. I still have MANY shadows and they're too pretty to toss. But I'm done with the foundation and concealer and the huge mess they make and how impossible they are on the go. I've switched to Urban Decay concealer and foundation and am so happy!

I used to love Chanel highlighter face pen and now I've found a better one that is dior skin flash. I also find dior iconic over curl mascara is way better than Chanel Le volume.

Tarte: Inconsistent quality, uninspiring palettes and neutral overload. I get neutrals are Tarte's shtick but it's tiresome to release the same shades over and over again with new names. Also, horrendous customer service. I'm done.

Dior: I had an allergic reaction to the Addict Fluid Stick which is a new one for me as I've never had an allergic reaction to a lip product before. The eyeshadows are appalling. The vast majority of products are highly fragranced. Packaging over quality.

Armani: Quit putting alcohol (the bad kind) in your foundations. The poor ingredients in the foundations put me off the brand as a whole.

I've finally quit my St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I had to force myself to finish my last tube, as I knew I wasn't doing my skin any favors using the rest of it. I've since moved on to gentler scrub from Skinfood.

I quit Lush with the exception of their tea tree water. I had a bunch of moisturizers and body butters that didn't moisturize my skin.

I quit Lancome - all of their skincare not only didn't improve my skin, but actually probably did more damage to it.

I replaced the YSL touché Éclat with Gucci concealer pen.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm coming to the end of my last YSL TE, I'd like to find something else (I only have a Gucci eye pencil)

My goodbyes are:

(shock horror) Shu Uemura cleaning oils - not as good or convenient as Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water

Guinot skincare - much too expensive and that hideous mask nothing ever removes :-s

Any Estee Lauder skin care (was a gift) - too much fragrance

Laura Mercier TM - Nars is better

(if I ever finish it) Laura Mercier Radiance Primer - no idea why I bought it, more glow in the dark on me than 'inner-glow'

You should try Gucci's Cleansing Water also, I use it and love it! Already on my second bottle. It's gentle but removes everything and it does not sit on top of the skin, it 'absorbs quickly and doesn't leave behind any residue.

I have been curious about Lancôme skincare for the longest but could not bring myself to try the products because I just don't hear of it doing anything great long term. So this just confirms I did right by avoiding it.

I could not ever really get into Lush either, the highly fragrance is what turned me off. Lush is suppose to be natural but it contains large amounts of perfume which really isn't natural and one of the worse chemicals you can put in skincare products.
