I think LV's are more durable. BUT the leather water spots easily, Bbags don't. I baby my Balenciagas more because is the soft, ultra lightweight leather, but it is so worth it. LV's are HEAVY, all of them.

The LV canvas (exclduing those with the vachetta bottom) and the epi leather are more durable. However, other LV such as the vernis, I would say is less durable.
In terms of weight, I have found them to be comparable (unless you get an LV with the koala pockets), which is one of my favorite things about both brands.
While I love both brands, LV can't beat Bal in terms of sassiness. Even my red LV bags don't make the same splash that my rouge vif city does....
