I recently sold a Coach wallet on eBay. The total was $130 plus $5 shipping. The buyer has 100% feedback (not that that really matters since you can't leave buyers negative feedback) and has a feedback score of 165. She immediately paid when I accepted her best offer price on May 14. I then mailed the wallet to her on May 16. I got confirmation that the item was received on May 18th. Today, I got an e-mail from paypal stating the following: We were recently notified that a payment you received was reversed by the buyers bank. A bank reversal can be requested by the bank itself or the bank account holder. We have placed a temporary hold on the funds until our inquiry is complete. We are reviewing the bank reversal and will contact you again via email with information on what to do next. You may be asked to provide additional information about this transaction. I'm so mad right now. What reason would the bank have for reversing the payment? I can't think of any, which makes me think that the buyer herself reversed the payment. Is there anything I should be doing right now, or just wait until paypal contacts me? $135 isn't a huge amount, but it's enough that I'm really pissed off about it!! What interesting is that the buyer also purchased a purse and wristlet from different sellers that match the wallet I sent her. Would it be inappropriate for me to contact those sellers to see if their payments were reversed? Thanks in advance for your help. I've bought and sold on eBay for over 12 years and this is the first problem I've ever had. I sure do miss the old days of eBay.
