Baby pink? Can anyone read Japanese?

  1. I came across a Birkin on a Japanese reseller site, which is listed as UNO PINK. It's not the same as Rose Dragée 'coz on the same site there's another bag listed as Rose Dragée. I've never heard of this colour before, is it new or a limited edition? Can anyone read the Japanese description at the beginning?
  2. I think that might be the new color for SS2008 called 'Rosy'.
    I have seen a Kelly in Rosy last week and it was very similar to this.
    IRL it has got a little hint of beige in it as well.
  3. My reading of Japanese is kind of poor, but I think it says something about someone (Kanda Uno-san) having ordered this bag especially from Hermès head office. At that time they didn't have a pink Birkin so they had to come up with one, and thus, this is the Uno Pink Birkin.

    At least that's what I think it says :sweatdrop:
  4. Wow, that's really interesting. Thanks Tutu. Now I'm really curious, I wonder who Kanda Uno san is.
  5. Thanks MaiTai, although pink isn't my colour, I'm curious to see the new Rosy. Is Rosy the same as Indienne Rose?
  6. I haven't seen Indienne Rose yet, so I don't know.
    The 'Rosy' Kelly I saw, was in Avignon/France.
    I'm sure they would have called it 'Indienne Rose', if that would have been it's proper french name, so I assume IR is another pink color yet.
  7. Kanda Uno is a Japanese actress. Just google her name and you'll see :smile:
  8. Interesting! No wonder the bag is going for almost twice the re-sale price of the other birkins. If it were a Kaneshiro-blue, I'd buy it immediately.:p
  9. Better still, Kaneshiro-black! :roflmfao:
  10. this color has been discussed previously - more info in this thread

    hope this helps!

    p/s- i love this pink very much too! :biggrin:
  11. I'd take a Kaneshiro-anything!! :love::love:
  12. Thanks for the link. Interesting read.
