authenticity help!

hmmm...not sure how to use this forum...or do i? in any case, i have an authenticity question regarding a Chanel bag that i recently purchased. Maybe you could help?!? my concern is with the interior of the bag. there is a flap(which is not genuine leather) on the inside that when i lift shows a piece of cardboard. i was wondering if this was typical for a vintage chanel bag or maybe a feeble attempt at repair. Thanks
