Anyone see the LV article in the WSJ today?

  1. It was pretty interesting--they talked about improving speed of production in LV factories. Didn't mention anything about the quality; from the way it was written, the quality will stay the same. They described how workers habits are modeled after Japanese car manufacturers and how workers, who have several skill sets (sewing, cutting leather, etc.) are placed in groups of 6 to 12 depending on intricacy of the bag and pass the bag around the group for efficiency. They are also improving time that bags come to the store in an effort to quickly meet consumers' tastes.
