What a fun thread!
My style at work depends on what I'm doing...I'm a government lawyer so that means suits (boring, classic, never go out of style stuff) when I have hearing but business casual when I'm in the office. business casusal to me means stylish but minimal... pants, or a skirt with a simple top or blouse. Lots of black. Good Shoes and a great bag, scarves and jewelry for fun... but jewelry is usually pearls for the office.

When I'm not a work, it's a little more rock and roll... jeans, high heels, long straight shiny hair and big sunnies. My Botkier bombay satchel is my favorite week end bag.

i hear you! my work clothing is very boring... i play a lot with textures and shoes to "spice up" my outfits. scarves are my favorite friend at the moment.

Great thread! Its fun to read about everyone's style!
My style is kind of a cross between Avant Garde, Classic, and Custom. Avant Garde for single unique items and/or my use of color, Classic for cuts (I mix up the A.G. pieces with other very regular pieces), and Custom for bespoke goods.

I am searching SEARCHING for EVEN WASH (no whiskers) DARK STRETCHY DENIM that fits curves. Anyone know what brand of jeans to try?

My signature style is jeans and a tank top! However, when I'm doing a presentation, it's usually a nice Armani Suit, when I'm teaching classes it's always basic black and when I'm doing a hair show.......then I'll step outside the box and just about ANYTHING GOES!

ummm true religion is really good with hugging curves.. also gap long and lean.. im not sure if theyre still selling those though

as for signature style im really preppy. cashmere sweaters.. button down shirts, khakis, delman flats, pearls and i always try to coordinate my michele watch's strap to my outfit.. im like a walking ad for jcrew and ralph lauren (i guess its very fitting coz im still in school)
i try to be more whimsical and edgy but i look like im crazy instead of cool so i stick with my preppy basics!

My style is very 50's and 60's type stuff, when I'm not at home. At home its just jeans and t-shirts.

day - jeans (only levi's), A-line skirts, denim minis, polos (all bright) -- if i'm not wearing bright colors, i'm wearing brown and pink. love lilly pulitzer, ralph lauren polos, etc. or sorority t-shirts when i'm being lazy. for shoes, usually my rainbows, pink sperry topsiders, or brown loafers. jewelry is always pearl necklace and pearl earrings, even in t-shirts. i also wear a TON of headbands.

night - dresses in every color, but i love little black dresses. HEELS of any kind or color. if i ever wear jeans (rare), i wear my pair of AGs (the only "designer" pair of jeans i have ever liked) and usually a flowy top. ALWAYS pearl necklace, and usually pearl earrings - but sometimes i'll wear diamond studs.

i'm in college, so i can get away with not looking sophisticated and put together all the time. i just like to wear bright colors and have fun.

When I go to school, I keep it preppy and simple. I'm currently loving the simple look shorts, long tops and layers can give you. I'm not much of a logo girl, if you see me wearing a T-shirt I will make sure its slightly more interesting than a brand name emblazoned across my chest. I like cute ones from David & Goliath, Junk Food, Threadless, etc. I guess I might as well keep wearing these as long as I'm still in college.

But when I hit the town I always love wearing heels, dresses, the works. I love clothes in classic styles that remind me of Audrey Hepburn. I do try to keep it fairly modern however. I don't want to look like i just walked out of an old movie! And no matter whatever trends are going on, I wouls say feminity is always a winner in my wardrobe. I love looking ladylike. That's just me.
