Default Which coat to keep?
I listened to some of the suggestions and got two juicy coats which actually fit decently. But I only want to keep one. So far, I already have a navy wool double breasted peacoat (with stand up collar) that is hip length. I have some casual jacket type things as well.

1. ivory wool coat. doesn't require any alterations except sleeve length (which is easy).

2. black cotton(?) trench. i'm wearing it without the belt here and 'taken in' (I need the waist taken in.. the pic shows what it'd look like if I did take it in).

Love both!
Hmmm....the first is nice for a change if you already have dark coats...less work to alter...I love the style and shape of it..its very flattering.
The black is nice too. Is one warmer than the other..do you need it to be?

caterpillar!!! AHH, you did listen to me, ^_^!! I'm so glad they fit okay, hehe.

Since I have both coats but in different colors, I know the pros and cons of each, hehe. I know you mentioned you didn't like the belt for the black bow trench, but I think it looks a bit odd(the buttons look huge) without the belt, so I would say keep the Angel!!! And no need to make alterations right? You were looking for a warm, winter coat no? The black trench is good all year round. The Angel is heavy and perfect for the Fall/Winter..and the color is this ivory so it looks classy chic...gah..but I love the bows on the shoulders of the black trench..ehehe

I guess since they're both so different I feel like I can't choose one (I could use both but I am poor now)! After looking at it some more, I do like it with the belt but I don't have a picture of it with the belt on.

If it were me, I would go with the black one. I have an ivory coat that I absolutely love but I don't wear it that often because it gets dirty so quickly. The black one can be worn all through the year and not just in winter like the ivory one. They're both gorgeous though, good luck choosing!

^hmm that is true. i don't think i'd have that much trouble keeping it clean (i used to have an ivory wool coat before) but it def can only be worn in the winter while the black trench could be worn at anytime.

i like the second one better.. if its meant to have a belt, i'd keep the belt on there.

The ivory wool
The shape is great on you and the ivory/winter white colour will really lift your winter wardrobe.

Black trenches are easy to come by, and the buttons bother me on this one.

^but for me, no coats are easy to come by (you'd think a black trench would be easy, but i have really narrow shoulders and most jackets/coats don't fit them).

black cotton for sure! White would show the slightest stain or dirtiness, much easier. Also black is always flattering!

You know I'd say keep both OP but...hmm..for practicality reasons, if it doesn't get that cold where you live, the ivory coat isn't necessary(even though the color is beautiful). Trenches that fit us petite girls are very hard to find. The belt on my camel colored trence wraps around 1 and a half times. Please take pics with the beltttt!!

P.S.:I don't think potentially sullying the ivory coat should be a reason to return it. The best part about the ivory is that it's an easy to match color, and if you aren't careless, you'll look really luxe in it.It's not the same as a Chanel white lambskin bag..you can take it to the drycleaners! My ivory Juicy coat always gets compliments from girls and guys and I'm sure yours would too!

OP, I find the jackets are okay..I love layering so I put sweaters and hoodies underneath them...oh yeah..and I edited my last post to help you with your decision!

I am organizing the tPF meet for the Bay Area for November at my brother's restaurant "Gitane". Let me know if you're interested in coming. Stiff drinks and Tapas!! You can yelp the restaurant, ^_^.

A black trench coat is a wardrobe staple caterpillar, so maybe that's the better choice if you can only keep one and you find coats difficult to find in your size.

For future reference, Max & Co (Max Mara's younger line) is another label that makes well cut coats and jackets for small framed girls. Their IT36 is tiny, and their trench coats are fantastic.
