mr. couturier thanks for all the inspiration. But after reading that today's outfit thread what I really want to see are photos of your outfits!
I think I've figured out what I need to add to my wardrobe. Tops that I can throw on with jeans that will make the outfit. And lots of accessories! I always pick the same old boring things though, I need to learn some fashion sense.

American Apparel makes the best tshirts, they are great quality and fit nicely and come in a gazillion colors AND they're made in the USA, and have a no sweatshop, fair pay philosphophy!

^ That's true, in my first year of being a Mom I bought a pair of slip-on brown and white Royal Elastics.
But now I'm back to flats, Chanel, Sigerson, Miu Miu and Marc... |

^^ I tottaly agree with that. Sneakers are (generally!) not the most chic, but they're very practical for say a mother of very young kids (my guess would be newborn-6). After that, I'd say deffinatly buy some cute flats.

Man o man Wynona - first Gael, now THIS. I totally was "offended" by the mom-jeans comment too!! I think WE'RE soulmates. I'm a SAHM too and luckily my DH is in the clothing biz which keeps me in comfy sweats 12 mo.s a year. Dressing UP for me = jeans. And NOT mom jeans. Nice ones. |

OMG! I am a mom of two (7 and 1 year) and always wear platform shoes, nice designer jeans and fantastic tops! (Of course I am the type of person who never leaves the house without make-up) I would NEVER wear mom jeans! AGH! GAG! LOL
Although I do have a suggestions for you. I have seen some ADORABLE tight fitting vests now which can be worn over a button up shirt with some sexy jeans. It's a great look! I will definately be purchasing one! |

cowgirl, maybe we are,I live in "cowtown" Calgary.
![]() And ^^ the vest idea is a good one. When little vests were a street thing last summer I picked up a vintage small jean vest and it goes with everything |

Thanks for all the tips everyone! I could definitely incorporate new sneakers into my look. Lately there's been so many cute ones out and I've taken to wearing my running shoes.
These may be good options, dontcha think? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I LOVE those colorful tennies! I've been buying them up for about a year now. I have Pumas in darn near every flavor and LOTS of Nike Free's too! :)
