Question Victoria's Secret anyone...?

Hi ladies...

I urgently need some help here.
I bumped into Victoria's Secret website, and found some cutesy tops and skirts. Does anyone here have bought Victoria's.
In terms of the quality, how do we compare with Topshop and Zara...? I'm a topshop junkie, normally wear size 8 petit. Should I order size 6/s frm them since i thought american size run 1 size smaller than UK size ( I had some frustrating experience ordering from Gap, size 8 seemed a bit bigger for me).
Please advise.
Thanks ladies!

Sally

I've bought/buy from Victoria Secret but I usually return a lot of the clothes I buy from them just because I don't like how it looks on me. Sweaters and the bodysuit button down dress shirts are the only things that I tend to keep when I order from them. So I think that their clothes are hit or miss for me sometimes. I do hate the fact that when the clothes are model online you can only see one view. So sometimes when I ordered things and it arrives, I tend to ship it back because I couldn't really tell in the picture (online) that (for example) the collar on a sweater was much larger as portrayed or a pair of pants had a weird stitching that I didn't like. The quality of the clothes are not poor and I think that their clothes are pretty true to size (depending on the fit that you like). If you see something you like just order it and if you don't like it then return it, there return policy is fairly easy, they send you a return label but they charge you for using it.

Law1005 : thanks so much for your kind opinion. In terms of shipping, do they really ship within the stipulated period..? Actually, I'm planning to ship internationally, as in the website, the merchandise will arrive within 14-21 days, any chances they deliver at a later date?

I wouldn't buy clothes from VS, it's uncomparable to Zara I think.

US size is 2 sizes smaller than UK size, so you'd be a 4.

I personally love VS, but I order more from the PINK range than the actual clothing range. Shipping to the UK is usually really fast & decently priced, but sometimes you will get charged customs. I've been charged anything from £5 to £20 for an order. All of my orders have been around the same price & weight too so I don't understand how the judge the fee!

I just ordered a couple T-shirts from there and am curious how the quality will be. I've never gotten anything but panties and bras before. They should be here soon.

Cool, me too, I just ordered from them a couple of Terry and Velour hoodie/pant suits. I have never ordered from them either, except for panites/bras. My order should get here by Thurs. will post if I have any problems.

I've been curious about VS clothing, too. Anyone have their bra tops/dresses? I'm interested getting some basics from them, but I wonder if they just look good/sexy on the models because they've got a nice body with boobs! I'm afraid they'll just look average on me.

I ordered a couple of times and mostly returned, b/c the quality wasn't there or the items marked as XS would fit a good Medium. Usually their stuff look better in catalogs than in person.

I've ordered from them before and nothing ever fit right. (Ran into that supersmall waist and baggy hips issue) I did keep a few jackets, but that materials didn't seem to hold up well and looked a little on the cheap side.

^ Yes, they did run really big too. I normally wear a 4 and would order a 0 in some of their stuff.

in my experience, VS clothes are of lesser quality than F21. although i have a couple of things that have lasted me awhile... most of it pills like crazy after the 1st wash.

I'm your size and I wear an XS or size 2. If VS runs big, does that mean we'll have to get size 0....?

Wow, thank you for the heads up! I avoid F21 for that reason, but never thought VS clothes would be that terrible. I don't think I'll even try to get the basics like T-shirts there, then. Boo!
