Default Sue Wong sizing and the "not so wedding dress" wedding reception dress

Hi Ladies! I'm planning to buy this dress in WHITE for my wedding reception dinner and I have NOOOOOO clue how Sue Wong dresses run.

I'm 5'6, 113LBS, Bra size B32/34, wears size 25 jeans, about 25" waist and have about 34" hips.

Oh and I wear 0 and XS in BCBG.

Can anyone shed some light on Sue Wong sizing?

Thanks so much!!!!!!

Your the same size/measurements as me! But just go in and try it on-b/c sometimes the bust on these dresses are large & it's another excuse to go into Saks/neimans.

It's very pretty. Can you order two possible sizes and send the one back that doesn't work?

Gorgeous dress! Soo pretty, I've seen it in white and black but absolutely adore the pink. I think you're probably a size 0 or 2 in Sue Wong. I would air on the side of caution and get a size 2. I'm sure you can exchange it for a 0 if it's not perfect. If you have access to a good seamstress, you can also get the size two altered to fit perfect. Excellent choice!

I actually am wearing Sue Wong for my wedding as well. I am a size 4 in Sue Wong (exactly a size 4, no alterations needed, its actually kinda scary) and I am 5'7", 125lbs and a 34B (on the smaller side of a B), I wear a 26-27 in jeans. If I had to guess I would say you would be a 2 or a 0. Where are you buying the dress? What I did was go to a store that carried Sue Wong and tried on a bunch, that gave me an idea for my size. Sometimes they also have the measurements available and can measure you.

Best of Luck!

Yay for "not so wedding dress" dresses!

I love that dress and you will look beautiful in it. I wish I could help with the sizing inquiry, but I just had to comment on the dress. I also want a "not so wedding" dress for whenever I get married.

Hi MissD! I was wondering if you got your dress yet? I ordered a Sue Wong dress from Bloomies for a beach wedding and I am very concerned about the waist size. I normally wear a 4. The Bloomingdale recommended size chart is different (recommends 8) from the Sue Wong website chart (recommends 6). I ordered a 6 and I am praying the waist isn't too tight. Did you find the waist to be very form fitting or does it have a little give? This is the dress!

I usually wear 0 or XS (or xxs in some dresses) in BCBG with no alterations, and i got 0 in Sue Wong, and it fit me perfectly.
I think 0 would be perfect for you.

(my stats 5'4 109 lbs)
