Default "Stylish" Long Underwear- Is there such a thing?
I am looking for something very thin but warm to wear under cashmere sweaters and other things with a very deep V in the winter.

I would also like something for the bottom for the occasionally really blustery day.

I have come across cuddle duds, but they are far too high waisted for any of my jeans.

I really want something that is somewhat stylish and good quality but that is machine washable and discreet under my clothes.

Any suggestions?

Those are super cute for wearing at home and I might get something like that for winter, but what I'm really looking for is something to wear under a thin sweater. I like the cuddle duds material (very silky and thin and not noticeable under clothes) but they seem kind of matronly and the V is nowhere near deep enough for most of my tops.

Check this out

http://www.icebreaker.com/site/index.html

They make merino wool and cashmere undergarments that are washable. I don't own any, but have heard the quality is good.

^ I have several Icebreaker undergarments (tops and bottoms) and they're fantastic and really keep me warm in winter. Although I don't think they have a deep V cut. Otherwise, I have thermal tops from Marks & Spencer and undertops from La Perla and Calida that are perfect for layering in winter ... they have different neck lines. I also find wearing silk tops/undedresses under wool/cashmere sweaters/dresses and using wool/cashmere tights keep me warm in winter.

I agree with the silk thermal underwear. It's very thin so it slips under your clothes discreetly and it works pretty well.

Anyone else?

All of these look very nice, but for the most part they are too high waisted with most of my pants and not lowe enough cut for my tops.

What does everyone wear in the winter under a V-neck sweater? I don't like to just wear a tank becasue my arms will be cold!

What about just wearing lowrise leggings or heavy tights under your pants? And for tops, what about something like this? http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/produc...scid=676431132

I know these suggestions are not technically long underwear, but honestly Cuddl Duds alone aren't warm. It's just having that extra layer that keeps you warm, not the fabric that they use IMO...

Thanks! Those actually look like they might work... I only like the cuddle duds because of a lack of a lot of seams and bulging, but if I buy these tees in a size smaller than I normally wear they might look fine. I will go buy Old Navy soon and try them out!

i have a couple of Wolford undergarments, they are bodysuits so they stay nicely put together under the garment:) have you tried those? there is a lot of variety in those bodysuites

OP,

i usually do the sphgatti top underneath...b/c you still can kind of see thur the cashmere sometimes....another option would be the silk underwear which is thin and warm...

I like lowrise tights. Old Navy offered them a couple of years ago, and I'm hoping Old Navy will start to carry them again. I love the lowrise version precisely for the reason you listed (I don't like them peeking over my jeans/pants). Plus, I feel so constricted when they're the traditional version.

For layering, I have a few cashmere tanks that I put underneath. Have you tried doing that? That extra layer of cashmere (even though it's in a tank top form) gives you more warmth.
