Default Shopping in Boston

Where is the best place to go shopping in Boston?
I know that Newbury Street is a must. Which Filenes
Basement is the best? I will have a car, so anything
in the Boston area would be great. Any nearby Outlets?
TIA!

i definately agree newbury street is a must...and Copley and the Prudential center are both within walking distance from newbury street! the best outlet near boston would be the Wrentham outlets...its about a 40 minute drive i believe from boston...there's over 150 designer stores including coach, juicy couture, ferragamo, lacoste, versace, etc..i used to live in rhode island and worked at the wrentham outlets and i'd go eat in chinatown in boston every weekend...the best time to go would be during the weekday because the weekends are CRAZY!!! if you'll be there for memorial day weekend than most likely there will be a million sales events going on!! i hope that helps!! let me know if you have any other questions :)

Newbury street is fabukous but you got to Wrentham Village - am,azing discounts (like 80% off). Some of my bargains included a cashmere top $50 (form $200) at Saks, converse trainers $20 (from $120) and a rabbit fur jacket for $50 from Wilsons leathers! It is a bit of an effort to get there, but most hotels offer a bus service. It is well worth going.

i was in boston a couple weeks ago. the filene's basement on newbury street was really great! well i liked it a lot, esp. since there's nothing like it in CA! keep your eyes out for coupons, sometimes they have them. i also thought the marshalls there was pretty good. there is also a giant marshalls and tjmaxx in the downtown area which had a lot of good stuff. hope you have a great time!

You guys are the best. They all sound fabulous. I am so glad that Filenes Basement is near newbury st. The outlet mall sounds great, chestnut hill sounds great too. Coming from NM and very limited resources this is my chance to do some great shopping. Thank You!

I just checked out Wrentham Village and it is right next to Foxboro where we will be on Monday for the Lacrosse finals. Thank You guys again, without your help I would have never known about the wonderful shopping next to Foxboro.

Hi all, I live near Boston and am so sad to report that the Filene's on Newbury, while great, does not compare to the old Filene's (which was shut down a while ago) in the Financial District. But you should hit Newbury Street, and if you are a purse/accessories fan you must go to Luna Boston...and FYI, the Prudential Center mall is nice, and the Copley Center is even fancier. If you like eye candy check out Louis Boston (great makeup).

Luna Boston I love the stuff they have on their website. Copley sounds wonderful too. Would you say the consignment stores on newbury street are worth checking out?

Indigowaters. I know what you mean about H&M. I get to visit the one in vegas often and I can't get enough of it.
