Default Plus size girls....can you help me out?

I have a few parties to go to this summer and I would love to be able to wear a long dress to them.

Do you have any recommendations? I have tried a couple of places to find the long dress, but I have had no luck. I am looking for something like these dresses....any help?

TIA

Samia had a lot of luck with the Gypsy 05, although I believe she had it taken up for length. Would that be appropriate?

I have a couple of nice just-below-the-knee dresses I got from Lane Bryant, if you're not looking for too formal and don't mind shopping at LB!!

I like this one, this one is kinda cute, this one is more dressy (but I like it a LOT)...

I love the Igigi dress you linked to, Butterfly!

Happy hunting!

Gypsy dresses aren't available in plus but Samia had luck with a L or XL I think. I have this dress and I love it. http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2993419?...=searchresults. If you search around Nordstrom.com they have it in different colors and patterns.

Take a look at www.sydneyscloset.com
I remember Jay Manuel showcased some of their dresses on an awards pre-show. The styles were very flattering and elegant.

You may want to google Carmen Marc Valvo and Norma Kamali as well.

Thank you ladies for your help! I will check out the links and keep looking.

I really do like the RP dresses, they are just so much money and I heard they pill after a while. Is that true?

^^ Oh really. I hadn't heard that. Mine are OK but I've only washed them 2-3 times.

I dont have any RP, but that is what I have heard. Maybe the person just didnt wash it correctly or washed it with other hard fabric.
