Nordstroms Anniversary Sale begins 07/18/08..yeah!

Any one has any tips on how to get "first tibs" on the sale items, other than showing up at the store, at the crack of dawn

Any tips you have would be greatly appreciated...Thanks TPFers

Also, have you ever heard of Nordstroms putting out any SALE items the night BEFORE a big sale, where you can see what you want & ask them to hold it for purchase the next day?

I am being there tomorrow morning when it opens.
I got to pre sale though, but I think more items will be out on clearance [sale]
I can not wait. Go to your fav sections of the store first to get the best deals for you

The Nordies here closed early, so I doubt that there were any items that were part of the sale put out early....For the most part, the items that are part of the Anniversay sale are new fall items that haven't been on the sale floor before. HTH!

I went this morning, right at 8!!! I just got back. it was nice...quiet! they even provided coffee, scones, muffins, etc!

They didn't have A LOT of stuff on sale. Stuff wasn't SUPER cheap but it was still good deals. It's a good price for stuff that you have been looking around a lot for :)

They had a LOT of coats on sale! I saw a ton of Burberry quilted ones for $300 and the Burberry raincoats for $500. Navy, pink and red Juicy velour pieces were on sale for $80. Most of the premium denim was around $130.

I was disappointed in the shoe sale selection. No Fryes on sale! Only the Ugg Cardy boots were on sale - not the classic ones or anything else. But they had plenty of Ed Hardy on sale.

This is what I got-
purple knee-length peacoat for $60, retail $100
Black north face denali fleece for $130, retail $180

They had tons of North Face on sale, for kids and adults! So now is the time to get one, I guess :)

Thanks ladies for your input...I really appreciate it! I went to the SALE today...had to tak a half day at work in order to make it happen, so I got to the store at 10:00am. I wish I could have gotten there earlier but I had a little drive to get to the "GOOO" Nordstroms near my job. It was sooooo worth it...yeah!

I think next time I will just plan to take a vacation day going forward for this AWESOME SALE...I am sure it will be well WORTH IT for sure!

I got 2 dresses, 2 blouses & 3 pairs of KILLER SHOES (boots, botties & a patent/snake skin pump!) Now I just have to figure out a way to SNEAK

ALL of it in the house...LOL! The things we women go through...I so WISH our DH really UNDERSTOOD us more...don't you

I hope you ladies score some HOT ITEMS too!

I should NOT LOOK at anything to buy until Christmas...I hope I can stick to this plan

I love to presale stuff, plus I am a night owl and in prior years will jump online just after midnight to place a bunch of online orders.

I love this sale...some years are better than others honestly, but is always worth a look. I scored a ton of hanky panky undies (good grief these rock), some theory blouses plus a kickbutt DKNY 3/4 length coat. Pretty lowkey for me this year ;-)

OMG!!!!!

I got into MORE trouble yesterday evening at Nordstroms...I just could NOT resist the Gypsy 05 dress (tie dye light green color), jeans (NYDJ..they are the BOMB!), and another pair of BCBG shoes (green/brown snake skin print..TDF)!!

Oh please I have to STOP NOW before I get into SERIOUS trouble!! I hope you ladies have scored some HOT items!!! I guess you can say I am trying my BEST to "stimulate" the economy...I hope it's working!
