My bf is graduating and I want to get him a really nice suit as a present. Maybe in the 500-1K range. he's starting work full time and i'm the one who likes fashion But, I'm not really sure where to find a good suit. I live near Toronto but will be shopping in the States soon. Thanks for any input!

Maybe try Nordstrom, that way if he does not like it you can return it, plus you can get it altered there as well.

you def need to hit neimans when they're having a sale you can totally get an amazing suit for a great price. If you're not going to be near one or here when they're having a sale you should try for an outlet store like Etro or Barneys NY! Good Luck!

My Brooks Brothers suits (retail $500-$600) look better than a lot of more expensive suits. They would certainly be nice enough post-colleage and grad school. It's all in the fit! Some guys look better in Italian suits, some need a more boxy cut. It depends on your BF's buld. My DH likes Zegna suits but I think they run more than $1K. He also likes Canalli and Ferre. He has mostly Italian suits because that's what works best for him. Another guy that I know prefers Hugo Boss suits because he is more athletically built. In other words, I would not be buying a suit without trying it on.
