Most Levis mid-rise bootcut and straight leg work for women of all ages, IMHO. Wear a medium wash or darker. I think lighter washes on the average middle-aged women can 'date' the look and make you look older and out of style.

Oprah loves those Cookie Johnson Jeans: CJ I think?? She said they fit curvy figures well.

Try Hudson. They have higher and wider waistbands that are very flattering for many body types (even if you're stick thin, the wider waistband gives a nice curve, or it nicely hides a "muffin top") in a variety of cuts and washes.
