Default Ladies and gents...show me your closets!!!
Hi everyone

Today I was cleaning my closet and I was wondering how everyone else organized their closets! I love my closet, but it is on the small side for me and all my precious clothes! Do you have any space maximizing secrets? And lets see some pictures of everyone's closets!!

We recently moved into an old building, and there was no closet for me. My husband converted a small room into a closet....here are some before and after pics. And the last one is a pic of my closet in my old house!

Anne, Is that a chanel cerf tote? Do want! I want to play in your closet.
here are a few pics of my closet. I have a room that I was going to turn into a living room (my rooms are in the basement and I have 3 rooms) well, i decided that i needed a closet more than furniture. The room is not complete but here is what I've done so far.
sweaters:

dresses/skirts/pants/jeans/folded tops

jackets/shirts/folded tanks-camis

i didnt take pics of my shoes which are in plastic bins stored under my jackets/shirts
i also didnt take pics of my bags, which are on a metal storage unit in one of my other rooms.

^^^I also want to play in your closet/living room!!! Talldrnk....it is a cerf tote and was my first Chanel. I bought it at Salvation Army a few days before my youngest was born
(7 1/2 years ago). I paid $400 for it, and it still had its $1600 price tags on. I love that bag!!!!

Anne - WOW that's one awesome closet! I have a small Ikea one :( I do have a really pretty large wooden closet that's about 8 feet and painted bright pink with bright orange curls and other decorations. Too bad it's at my stepmom's, it doesn't fit in my room over here anymore!

Anne - you find the best bargains!!!
Sarah- thats only because I don't have any visitors. If anyone wants to sit, they can sit upstairs in our living room. We have 2 couches up there. lol. If I didn't have this extra room I don't know what I would've done w/ all of my clothes.
Yellow- I am obsessed w/ cardigans and tank tops, and dresses, and skirts. lol

Hey Jeneen....yes it is my wedding dress. I try it on once a year to make sure it still fits! One year it didn't, and it was called the "wedding dress" incident!!!
DH was so thoughtful to build me a closet. He was sick of the mass of boxes that was in the back of our shop. Now I have a closet, and the mass of boxes is still there!!

I want to see everyone's closet too. Nice thread. I will post pics of mine when I get a chance.

We have a medium-sized walk-in closet in our master's bedroom and 3/4 of it contains my clothes and bags. I have big plastic bins I bought from Ikea where I store clothes out-of-season. I hate folding clothes so most of my clothes I hang so I always run out of space. I also put my winter coats in a closet in one of our guest bedrooms. I always wish I have a bigger closet, twice than what I have now. I also store my shoes in a small walk-in closet under our stairs, and that is already full.

Annemerrick, wow, a $400 Chanel at a Salvation Army? You always find the hidden treasures.
