Default Just bought a gorgeous SILK CHIFFON top by Jodi Arnold, but there is a SNAG!! Pics...

I just received the item today in the mail and perfectly wrapped and even with a hanger. The Jodi Arnold website processes items and ships out unbelievably fast; I love their customer service and the way they handle the phone calls! BUT why is there a pull in the fabric?? I hope they can be just as nice when I contact them about this damaged item.

When you buy silk items, do you observe for any pulls in the fabric? Or are the snags bound to happen anyways and it doesn't bother you?

My friend says that the pulls will happen anyways and that its only minor. To me, it really does bother me. Is there anyway to repair it? Do I cut the loose silk thread in the snag or leave it? Or just return it?

Its just a real pain to ship this item back because I'll have to take the bus to the post office right after class; I'm a busy college student. AND...I'll be moving out of my college dorm NEXT WEEK so they'll having problems shipping the item to me if I do end up exchanging. What a hassle this has become to be... I really do love this top!!

So...is the pull noticeable or is it just me? And what color bottoms, accessories, and shoes should I wear with this top? I have an event to attend at the end of next week!

Chiffon pulls from just about anything. That pull could have been from sewing the chiffon, even. Try the good old home trick--grab both ends of the pull and gently pull the garment so that hopefully the snag goes back to the way it should be.

Honestly, I don't think it is a big deal. Everyone knows that chiffon pulls just when you look at it, let alone wear it. And, unless people rub their faces on your blouse, I highly doubt that anyone will actually see the pull.

I am so going to say the same things, Shoulderache.

I understand your feeling, Treschic35. because the same thing happened to me too.

a year ago, i got a beautiful chiffon dress. i found a little snag on the front of the dress. my heart started to swing back and forth. i love the dress. i did not want to give it up. my mother in law was at my house then, she told me to get over with it. it's chiffon, she said, first time you wear it you will probably get a snag somewhere especially now you have a baby. if your nails are not completely smooth, it could result in a snag...it's just too easy with this delicate fabric. 99% guys dont even notice your fabulous bag! not mention a tiny snag on a blouse!

I love the color of your top. it should go with a wide range of items. depends on how dressy you want to be. it goes with pair of fitted jeans for casual look; it can go inside a pencil skirt for a polished look...every one has black shoes, so there you go...

Love the top!! It is super super cute....but a snag would bother me.... thus the reason I don't wear alot of delicate fabrics. I even have a hard time buying silk cuz I feel like once something happens to it, it will bother me forever. But I think it's really a personal thing... (I may have mental issues with this )

I would never have noticed the snag if the photo wasn't so large. Cute top!

What a gorgeous top! I barely noticed the snag-- if it's going to drive you crazy, send it back. But if not, go for it! It would look wonderful with some black slacks and maybe a fitted blazer!

I am looking and I still can't see it, but yes, they are prone to snags, and it's very hard to fix.

Chiffon is delicate and very prone to this. I honestly can't even see it when looking at a picture of the entire blouse.

It is a beautiful top and, like everyone else has said, chiffon snags. It is the nature of the fabric. I wouldn't have noticed that little detail unless you put it right in my face, honestly. I would keep it and wear it well!

Maybe you could call or email CS and see if they can give you a discount. Otherwise, I would keep it. As everyone else said, I can't see the snag in the first picture.

I would never see it if there weren't a close-up of it. If a snag like that truly bothers you, I think you need to evaluate whether the top is right for you, since even if you received one that was "perfect" it would likely have a snag after the first wearing (or even the first time you tried it on).

I don't really notice it. I've done the pull trick with my rather loose-woven burberry scarf to get some threads realigned and it's worked well... same with some silk scarves. I don't think anyone will notice unless you go up to them and point at the snag and go "CAN YOU SEE THIS SNAG?! IT'S FREAKING HUGE!"
