We have decided to elope next summer and do a combination wedding/honeymoon trip. Since the first choice is a Kenyan safari I want a simple dress so the ones from J Crew are perfect.
Since they have a 20% code right now, I want to go ahead and order it now. l don't live in a city that stocks the wedding dresses. What is your favorite of these 3? Has anyone seen or tried them on? I am 5'3 and size 0. http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/Wedd...8138/18138.jsp http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/Wedd...7403/17403.jsp http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/Wedd...6062/96062.jsp |

I like #3 - not a fan of the beading and lace on #2. But they're all beautiful, as are all of J Crew's wedding dresses. Swoon...

Honestly I think you will need to try them on. Maybe post pics with them on? Sometimes things look great or not so great on a hanger but different on.

Congratulations! They are all lovely, but I like #2 the best by far! I like #3 second best, and #1, although pretty, I sense some difficutly with the fit being perfect in the bust area without alterations.

I like 3 then 2.
I didn't like the lace part in the back on 2. |

I think I may order # 2 and 3 and then return one. I think either of them will be perfect for the sunset wedding at foot of Mt Kilimanjaro with elephants in the background that I am picturing :) I am worried about the fit on 1 as well-I love the back, but I think it might not be flattering.
Schadenfreude, I don't think any of them have beading-am I completely blind? |

I like number three and then two. I think ordering them both and returning one is probably the best option. I don't like the first one, as I think the fit could be awkward, and the back is not terribly flattering.

I like 2 and 3 the best as well... the first one almost looks like a long slip from the front.

Cakegirl,
I agree with the others- 2 & 3 are my favs. I'm also 5'3 and a size 0 but in my experience, J Crew sizes run kind of large. A size zero dress from a brand like Nicole Miller or BCBG fits me perfectly but in J Crew, I feel like I'm swimming in it. Their dresses are so cute though and since its for your wedding, it might just be worth it to get it tailored so it fits better? |
