I just bought a J.Crew wedding dress (Erica style) but I tried on the Gracie- it was so classic and flattering! I'm sure you will love both of the dresses, good luck choosing! Their dresses are gorgeous.

I just wanted to add some info for anyone thinking about ordering a J Crew wedding dress. I called one of the "wedding specialists" and she was very helpful. She can give multiple measurements on each particular dress and other information. She did tell me that they are adding some new styles tomorrow.
From the measurements, it seemed to me that some of the dresses may run big.

I received the Gracie and Hope dresses (Tatiana is backordered) I have to say i was very disappointed. The fit was not great and varied enormously between the 2 styles in the same size. I also didn't care for the fabric or the quality of the dress.

So back to square one. What other brands should I look into for a less formal destination wedding dress? Or should I just look at "regular" white dresses once spring styles start coming out?

Has your budget changed (as in, gone up) in light of this development or do you want to stick around the same price range?

I don't want to spend thousands but can definitely spend more-maybe up to $1500 or so.)
The wedding will be outdoors and I'll have to carry the dress on a 15hour plane ride so it shouldn't be be overly formal or big and heavy, but I do want something nice. I will wear it again at the party my parents are throwing when we get back-which I think has developed into a very large reception.

I would get the J Crew dresses altered, but fit wasn't the only problem. I didn't like the fabric as well.

I like the first one best. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't elopement have connotations of being kind of a spur of the moment/secret thing?
Anyways congratulations.
