My godfather asked me to be the Godmother of his newborn baby girl Mia. I'm so honored!!!!!! His mother, however, told me she thinks I should reconsider. She doesn't approve of me being the Godmother because I'm not really active in the church. I emailed my Godfather and he responded saying he wouldn't have it, he really wants me to be the Godmother. So. With that in mind, what the heck do I wear? I want to look good, but I want to be conservative. Unfortunately, I don't have a huge budget right now for new clothes, so it'd be a huge plus if its something I can wear again. I prefer v-neck or scoop neck- am definitely not a fan of anything too close to my neck. Any suggestions?

Do you prefer long or short cuts? Dresses or suits?
First - What about an uni colored long (maxi) dress in white or soft colors like rose, light blue? There is another thread started by jhazn85: http://www.gypsy05.com/shop/product.aspx?pid=114 Or what about this one: http://www.revolveclothing.com/Displ...&s=C&sc=Halter

to me, it doesn't matter whether the dress is long or short. i like those dresses you posted but i think they might be too sexy for the church. i'd prefer a dress, but i do have a suit- a capri pant suit and a regular pant suit. they are both black, but i think they're too business-y for a church.

CONGRATS!! I'm glad your Godfather stuck by his decision!
![]() A skirt suit or a knee-length dress is what I recommend. Or, a pretty blouse and a pair of white or light coloured pants. The suggestions above are great. J.Crew has some very pretty solid colour dresses that are knee-length.
