how to wear a trapeze top

I bought this To the Max trapeze top and I don't know what to wear with it. I tried it on with nude heels and dark trouser jeans last night but the trouser jeans looked funny with the top.
I took this picture from an eBay auction but this is the exact top that I recently purchased.

How would you wear this top? BTW, it hits me right at the hip bone.

With a pair of dark blue skinny jeans or skinny pants, it'll look very pretty. Definitely wear it with a pair of heels as well. Trouser jeans will only make you look heavy with a trapeze top.

You could also try the top with some shorts, and see how that looks.

Skinny, skinny jeans and high, high heels. You have to kind of counteract the "billowy-ness" of the top or else it could make you look a little big. This is why I generally avoid trapeze tops LOL. But I actually really like your top.

Wearing a cropped jacket over it would look good or you could even do a regular jacket as long as it's the trapeze top is a good 3-5 inches longer then the jacket. It kind of balances things out, KWIM?

Volume on the top, slim on the bottom. And vice versa.

I would pair it with skinnies or tights and high heels or ballerinas.

You're lucky - I have to avoid at all costs. My huge boobs make me look like I'm 7 months pregnant if I put on a trapeze anything....

That's the beauty of being built like a 14 year old boy (which I am totally not by the way).

It definitely has it's up sides, and it's down sides as well.

Yes, I sympathize! I love the look of the trapeze top but it doesn't look right on me since I'm busty. I need so waist definition.
