How to tell if this Alannah Hill Jacket is not fake ??
Hi,
I purchased a summer Alannah Hill jacket from ebay.   How can I tell whether it is real or not ? It is cute though isnt it ? Does anyone know what year is it from ? |

I've never seen this before. What is the name of the jacket? If you look at the care tags, there should be a name. Also the swing tag would have a name where the price is shown.
I think they started using the current yellow tags for the Autumn Winter 2007 collection. As this is the blue tag, it's probably from between Autumn Winter 04 - Spring Summer 06 collection. |

I still like it though and I just bought it for $65 anyway. I just hope that it is real ! |

I didn't brands like Alannah Hill were faked...? Should be pretty safe?

Even Guess are faked a lot but maybe Alannah Hill is not so 'posh' yet ? |

I don't think there are alot of fake Alannah Hill designs; I don't think she has reached that status yet considering that half the stuff she's been coming up lately is inspired (= copied) from other designers.
That jacket is the real deal - I think it's from a few seasons ago as noted by the blue/teal inside label. The last 2-3 seasons (including the current SS08-09), the tag was changed into the cream with red script writing whereas older ones were teal with brown script. And prior to that, the tags were cream with red blocked letter writing, and even way before that - maroon with blue blocked writing, and before that - brown with silver? blocked writing. Hope that helps

I didn't even think AH was faked!? I used to adore the things... now most of it is awful. I can't see the picture of your jacket but $65 is a great buy
