How long should skinnies be?

I've never worn skinny jeans before, so help me out, please! What length should they be hemmed to? The ankle somewhere?

I hem mine to right below the inside ankle bone, any higher and they look like high water skinnies, lol.

mine is pretty long...and i am okay with it.
my inseam is about 30 and my skinny is about 33/34...i rather them being longer than shorter.

It depends. I like mine with a bit of scrunch at the bottom-I have wider hips so I find the scrunch prevents me from looking a bit like a ice cream cone :P

I find them to be super cute at most lengths.
I think they're really cute cuffed up maybe 2", look cute slightly long and scrunchy and I think they're super cute just at the ankle w/ flats too. Kinda retro.

I have skinnies in all lengths. The shortest ends right at the ankle bone, but I cuff them when I wear ankle boots. I also have some skinny jeans that are long and I scrunch them up and pair them with flats.

I agree w/ Swanky, they can look cute all 3 ways. For me personally, I've found that the tighter the leg, the shorter they can be. Leggings are cute when they are cropped above the ankle - same goes for denim leggings.

Thanks for the responses! Is it harder to tuck your jeans into boots if you leave them longer? Because of the temperatures here, I'm only planning to wear mine under boots for the next six months, but they're not all that skinny so maybe they would look odd if I cut them too short?

or you can fold the skinnies...nobody sees it.

I have some skinnies that aren't super skinny. They're so long that I cuff them up about 2" and I don't care for the way that feels tucked into boots.

If you're super picky you may need a boot pair only and not wear them w/ other shoes if you aren't happy w/ their length otherwise.

I'll look for the pic and try to post it later. I guess they are close to straight leg? They are tapered to 14" I think, they're just not 10-12" skinny. I'm worried about them being a bit uncomfortable or scrunching if I just cuff them. I wore them out on a test run yesterday, cuffed about 8" (I'm short!), and they were pretty bunched up

Here is a pic. I guess Revolve actually calls them straight jeans. I took everyone's advice and left them a bit long, and if they don't feel right I can always pay another $6 to get them shortened.

I agree. If they're being worn with heels, I like them to scrunch at the bottom. If they're being worn tucked into boots, it's best if they hit right around the ankle so there's not a lot of excess fabric inside the boot.

I hate skinnies with flats, unless they're cuffed up to look cropped or capri-length, so I can't really weigh in there .
