I'm too short to scrunch my skinnies so I usually look for designer capris because they are the perfect skinny length for me; right at the ankle bone. I can stuff them in boots and wear them with flats! My favorite pairs are JBrand capris & paige peg legs.

I wear boys tube socks over my skinnies to keep them comfortably tucked into my boots Prevents them from bunching at the knees as well!

I use jodphur clips, like these -- http://www.legacytack.com/p/10477/Jodphur%20Clips.html

Cost me about $3, and they're fantastic. I tried the sock trick for a while, but find that I prefer the clips.

Ooh! Except, er, how do these work? Do you clip them around the bottom of your jeans?

Yep, you clip them on the bottom of the jeans, kinda turns them into stirrups, KWIM? I use the clips and the sock trick too if I am looking for some extra warmth.

Oh, you clip them so they loop underneath your foot? Is that comfortable? Sorry, I am totally clueless!

I had it wrong, I pay $7 at a little Korean dry cleaners. I guess cheap alterations kind of compensates for living in a little town with less to do!

i have a ridiculous amount of pairs of skinnies.. i like them at different lengths.. some go to my ankel, some a little past, some even longer! they are great any which way:) my favourite is to have them longer.. so they go a little bit over my pumps. (esp when they have zippers.)

You know, I have no idea wtf just happened. I HATED the skinnies trend all of last year, but I just got my first two pairs of not-so-skinnies in the last couple of weeks, and now and I'm all feeling they're not skinny enough, and I need more skinny jeans, skinny cords, I think I need skinny tweed pants and I have no idea where that came from.

GAH the things tPF will do to you.

Yep, just like the old stirrup pants I used to wear when I was a kid back in the 80s . I cuff the jeans so that they hit around my ankle bone, then attach the clips to hold them down under my boots. I find it very comfortable! It also keeps them from bunching at the knees.

^^ Thank you! I will have to try those because even post-hemming these jeans are pretty bunchy. Is that the link the site where you buy your clips? Or can you get them from a local equestrian place or something?? I just dun wanna pay $5 shipping for a $3 item . . . even though if it were just listed $8 I wouldn't have thought twice.
