How 'bout them Gauchos??

So, I was walking out of the house this morning with my jean Gaucho's on and my SO said....

"

I know you arent wearing those things! When was the last time you saw someone in them? You know they are out of style, right?!"

So, I responded, "I dont care, I like them! I wear what I like!!"

Yes, my SO, a man, criticized me about my clothes. After we argued(lovingly, of course lol) about it, he said to ask my tPF friends if any of you still wear your Gauchos, so...do you?

Or, should I donate all of my Gauchos?

I personally don't like them much. My closest thing to gauchos is a pair of Adidas sweats that are capris and straight leg/baggy.

Ok, I am going to be honest here. Gauchos were a trend that I particpiated in...however, looking back I now realize that they are not flattering and give the body a weird shape. You should prolly send them packing. I'm Sorry. Don't hate me!

Hey Val! I'm wearing gaucho's today. They are jean too. I think they are still in.

I just know that I like em and they look good on me so I wear em. My friend who is majoring in fashion says denim is in, stretchy black material ones are out.

I only ever had one or two pairs of gauchos cause I'm kinda short so I guess I can't really give an informed opinion.

But don'tcha hate it when the SO tries to turn the tables and use tPF on you. Lol! I used to always justify purchases, bags etc... by saying the girls on tPF liked it. Just last week, I made DH come shopping with me for bathing suits and he had the nerve to tell me I needed to post a poll on tPF cause the ladies would agree with him it was unrealistic to expect a man to participate in bikini shopping. The nerve!

Lol, you SO is funny and what he said its actually kinda cute too. I'd say if they look good on you wear them proudly. I have pair I use form time to time, they look great on me so I dont care if they are not "in"

I have 3 pairs of the stretchy kind too, but I only wear them to workout, thats ok, right?! lol

Oh, gauchos... how I wished I could pull those off... I tried them on EVERY SINGLE TIME I went to a store where they were sold, and they made me look so short and stumpy that I never bought any. I think that if you they fit you - wear them! Who cares about "in/out"

This is just my opinion, but I think they are hideous. Totally acceptable for workout, yoga, or lounging about but anyplace else...it doesnt look good. If you must wear them though, denim is better.

If you are a bigger girl, they are NOT cute at all. With that said, I think someone with fierce style could pull them off anyway. Depends on what you have on with it.
