Hot Texas Heat...white pants after labor day?

So I live in the Texas heat. It will stay in the 90's through October time. So tell me if you think it's ok to wear a pair of white pants through October. TIA!!

I'm in Austin and I really don't give this rule any credit at all. Wear whatever you want to wear... They're not the one melting in this sweltering heat, right?!

It's fine. I live in DC and wore white pants to work last week since it was in the 90s and humid!

I def wear white after labor day. I dress according to the weather not the calendar date. So go ahead and wear your white after labor day

If you are comfortable with it, then is is fine. All the older fashion rules, I am told, are out the window.

However, I am just not comfortable with white after Labor Day and I switch to pale khakis instead. Of course, I am also in a cooler climate. But there are just some things I am not comfortable with once August ends, and those include casual strapless dresses, white pants, and most pastels. Around here, once the truly cold weather arrives, creams are acceptable, but they are in different fabrics, making them clearly winter items.

But living in TX must present challenges that those in the North don't face - like 90 degree F temps after August!

why not?! plus white has a few different shades...using different material can make white suit into a cold weather too.

Go for it! I reckon, the closer you get to the equator, this little "no white after labor day" rule has less clout.

For example, if you go on holiday to warm and sunny Hawaii in October, you're most likely going to wear summer dresses, pastels, and white trousers!

i Def. worn/wearing/ and will wear WHITE TOP ALL YEAR ROUND.

the whites memorial day/labor day rule is so passe. it's so much more fashionable to wear what you look best and feel the most comfortable in.
