Sorry, but I prefer my skinnies to be skinnier, especially around the ankle (10"-11"). I'll pass.

I tried a pair on at intuition. They were a size too big (didn't have my size), but they really did make my legs look longer, push the saddlebags up to the tush area, and improve the look of the thighs. Would have purchased them if the waist had fit... contemplating whether I want to make the trek to another store to try on the smaller size or just order online...
I would order them from a retailer, though, since the actual company has a reputation for horrible customer service. |

J brand jeans look horrible on me. The stretch accentuates any extra weight I have- and I am tiny. J Brand most styles are not slimming whatsoever. The colors seem off, the pocket placements are odd, and they definately do not have slimming stretch. I tried several pairs after hearing about them.
Paige Premium denim, Paper Denim & Cloth, Premium Wranglers, Kasil, evisu, FRX, American Eagle, A&F, Denim of Virtue, 7 A pockets, and J crew bottoms in the smallest size are GREAT! J Brand was a huge dissapointment.

I agree... tried the J brand and they just made the saddlebags pop up larger than ever.
Ended up buying the Hello! Sinnies off of lechicshop.com -- love them to death. In the correct size, I can totally feel them pushing everything up and in. Hip area looks smooth, and my stubby legs look probably 4 inches longer because of where the front pockets are. I am even considering buying another pair (one of the less in-demand washes) off the HSJ website, despite their bad rep for customer service. I'll post an update if I decide to go for it. |

I don't know what to say about these. Never tried them & never heard of them. I am still sticking with the true religion theory.

After waiting 4 months, I finally got my jeans. To be honest, I don't see anything special. They look and feel the same as my other jeans. I do like the dark wash though. I wish they had more inseams between the 32" and the 35" because 32 is too short and 35 is too long and I wish the rise was a bit lower. I may end up returning them because it's nothing special for the price.

A little review, since there isn't a 2009 post on this:
Hi I did a search to see if these had been discussed- it seems they are getting their manufacturing up to speed, as I got incredibly prompt CS by email and by phone recently. (w/i the last week or so) I ordered the Barely Bootcut (I am too chunky to 'go there' with skinny cut) In the Nitewash (2 pr) and the Blackwash (1 pr). Size 32 They look great on me!!!! I am 5'6" 169 lbs on a good day ![]() It's all in my waist and torso, my thighs are average, flat butt (all due to my body chaging in my 50's) So I am fairly straight cut. I cannot wear any of the jeans they have in their comparison chart, none run big enough for me, except I think I tried on some Joe's jeans once in 14 and they fit. I wear a 12 in Christopher Blue and 12 in Victoria's Secret Hipster Bootcut, and 31, sometimes 32 or 12 or 14 in David Kahn jeans (some styles are sized differently). These were my only comparisons. Per their sizing suggestion vs body type I ordered 32's. The Nite wash look great, though one is a smidge looser feeling than the other, but not enough to size down. My gut and butt (LOL) looked great! And legs do look slimmer. OTOH, the Blackwash felt at least a size too small I couldn't zip or button. They were marked 32. I called HSJ (I am in CA and called after they had closed in NYC, left msg) and they replied the next day by phone. Said to return and they would look for a pair that was cut bigger, or if that color all seemed smaller, I could get a 34. Or perhaps order another color if this didn't work. Said they would do what it takes to sort things out. The wonderful CS (or perhaps owner?) said they had been seeeing some jeans come out different size from each other, but CS will help with all of this. I'll check back in when I have an update. -Oh - and the shipment arrived in less than a week. I ordered from their website - don't have it handy, but can post it if anyone needs it. So that is my unofficial review. But dang they are pricey! - I am not affiliated with the company in any way. |

the company has horrible customer service. after purchasing online the company would not let me return, sent me a very rude and condescending note when they returned the jeans i tried to return, and then the owner of the company insulted me by asking me what i had been doing on my knees when i challenged their return policy.
the jeans are fine but not spectatular. and the customer service was so horrible i wouldn't recomend them to anyone unless i hated them. |

My experience with this company was very good. The jeans were shipped quickly with no trouble whatsoever. The fit is amazing. They are incredibly slimming and I have received many compliments.

They look ok but IMO they are not skinny jeans. The leg is a little wider than a "normal" skinny jean. Yes, I am sure I look like an ice cream with the "other" skinny jeans but it is ok. I like them to be tight in the leg, all the way down to my ankle. Those pictures look like straight cut not skinny IMHO.
Never mind my post. I see that "Skinny" is the name not the style. Skinny because they make you look leaner and thinner. Interesting. |
