Default Has anyone ordered from ASOS?
I love some of their dresses, but I'm really confused about the sizes. I'm a US size 4, so I think normally I would be a UK size 6? ...but judging from the website's sizing chart, it seems like maybe I would be more of a UK size 8 for this particular company.

Has anyone ordered from this company before that could maybe help?

Thanks!

I would try to look at the brand. if it is non ASOS try to track down the brand's specific measurements. if it is by ASOS then depend on the material and judging by how it looks on the model you can order your true converted size on the website or one size up.

I have to say if it's a very fitted silk dress that looks like it's tight on the model order a size up. If it's just cotton dress that looks normal on the model or maybe even a little bit bigger. order the true converted size. and by how it looks on the model i mean click on the runway and see it in motion not just in picture. :)

good luck!

if you post it i may be able to have a better idea. i order from them a lot

^Ditto to everything Laurayuki said :) I also order from them quite frequently and have been pretty lucky with sizing - I'm usually a 0 in everything and always fit their smallest sizes

I LOVE Asos--I am a US size 4/6. I could BARELY fit into an 8 but if you are a true 4, go for 8, 10 was a little too big, even for me

Where are you at? Im in US, if you dont mind letting me know how long it takes for shipping, I'd appreciate it. I've been wanting to order from them for a while, but have always been worried it would take forever for the item to get to me (in Nevada).

Okay I'm going to hijack this thread (instead of starting yet another one on Asos sizing).

I'm thinking about buying this tank: http://www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-Floral...t=-1&clr=White

According to the size chart, I'm right between an 8 and a 10, but my hips are quite wide (I'm between a 10 and a 12 with my hips). The tank is really long, so I'm thinking I should order a 10? What do you guys think?

I'm also thinking of getting this: http://www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-Epaule...rt=-1&clr=Blue
But in a size 8, even though I'm between an 8 and 10. Think it'll be ok?

Thanks for your help!

I love Asos! I ordered a dress (Asos brand) from them last year and I was scared that a UK 6 would be too small so I ordered a UK 8 (I'm a US 2-4). The dress was HUGE on me. I ended up having to attach a belt to the dress just to keep it up, otherwise it would have looked like a shapeless sack. Next time I'm going with the UK 6 :)

If you are in the US make sure you order in GBP. Their exchange rate is quite high compared to what it actually is. Make sure you know what your CC will charge you for the international purchase though. I think mine was $3 for a $200 order. Still makes it WAY cheaper.

Ne one order dresses from there? I'm trying to figure out my size... if a dress that I want to order is a higher waisted dress, I'm wondering if i should order a size down because obviously my higher waist line is smaller than my lower waist line... suggestions??

Size conversion for you ladies:

UK 6 = US 2
UK 8 = US 4
UK 10 = US 6
UK 12 = US 8
UK 14 = US 10

Yeah, I saw that size chart-however I'm in between size UK8-10 on their site (I'm usually either a 4 or a 6US, and I usually wear an XS or S). However, their sizing chart looks quite small :S Do you guys think if I'm in between it would be better to get the smaller or the bigger size? My boobs are pretty small, but my hips are quite large (a UK12....)

I wanted to bump this thread because this will be my 1st time ordering from ASOS & now I'm worried too!

I'm absolutely in love w/this coat... I'm a small in The North Face, a medium in typically all Urban Outfitters tops/jackets/etc., a medium in Forever21. I don't know if that helps or not, but should I just go with the UK10? I hate dealing with numbers because most of my tops don't follow the number rule... just small, medium, or large. I have a 36B bust, jeans size is a 27, but I'm petite.
