I'm actually cleaning out my closet so some vintage items are going to eBay
Here are my favorites off the top of my head that I am definitely keeping:

Lanvin shirtdresses
My grandmothers persian lamb swing coat
Sak's geometric print knit jacket w/matching skirt
Blair Woolverton sun dress (can't fit at the moment)
Burberry wool trousers
Sara Fredericks green/pink empire waist w/beading chiffon gown
Estevez black cocktail dress

You ladies have great vintage taste! I'm really interested in this thread, because I have awful luck with finding gems in thrift stores.

It's the magic of eBay
Vintage shops will have a ridiculous mark-up, it's all about the hunt and find which I find a big part of making a piece great.

ME NEITHER!!! I have doubts that I will ever see it!! She has boxes still not unpacked from when we moved to America 30 years ago. She keeps telling me that she is getting to it...but I have yet to see the proof in the way of her cool clothes!!!

OMG...I am so envious!!! I adore Pucci...and have quite a collection, although the perfect dress at a price that I can afford eludes me!!! You are LUCKY!!! My mother told me that back in the late 60's, Pucci made paper dresses for people that couldn't afford the real deal. She had one, which is more than likely housed in the same box as the elusive Chanel dress and magazine clutches!!!

I love Pucci and i´m so happy taht she kept the dresses. I have some newer pieces (scarfs and a shirt) but i couldn´t afford the dresses an i really like the fact, that the dress have some history!
My boyfriends mother has some other gorgeous pieces (a vintage kelly and a lot of hermes scarfs) and she told me, that she had some Chanel pieces, but that she can`t find the boxes, she stored the stuff in. *argh* So i can feel your pain, annemerrick. I still hope she will find the boxes one day!

Don't worry, your day will come! And i'm sure your mother was fashionable at one point in her life! Once you visit her, if she hasn't unloaded the boxes yet, you should just take matters into your own hands and tear apart those boxes!!This is Chanel RTW we're talking about!

and guccisma, you're so lucky!! that is a great dress and bag you have on in the pic!! let's hope she finds that kelly soon!

She allready found the kelly. But she still can`t find the box with the chanel pieces.
But the kelly still "fits" her unlike her clothes.

OH...I have thought about this...but my Mother's garage is floor to ceiling boxes..it would take me 2 weeks..and unfortunately, I wil only have 1 day at her house! My worry is by the time that they are found....I will be over it! I guess then they can be handed down to my daughters!!!!
