External size tag on Hudson jeans waistband....won't come off!

Hi all! I just got my first pair of Hudson jeans (Nordstrom Rack, $99 bucks!!) and I love them. But the dang size tag on the back waistband will NOT come off! It's stitched on really tight, and the only way it will come off is if I take off some of the regular stitching with it. Any hints?

Or, is the size tag supposed to STAY on??? It's just stitched on so darn tight, as if it's supposed to be permanent. It's a big, white, cotton tag...like 3 inches by 2 inches, and it's attached only at the top of the tag so it hangs free at the bottom, and it looks really weird.

What am I supposed to do...leave it alone, or attempt to cut it off by the stitches???

i dont think the size is there to stay on.

no trend yet to broadcast your size.
i have gotten them off before, just use a sharp pair of scissors and take out each stitching around the tag. i'm not sure what you mean that it'll take off the reg stitching.

I have one of those little stich remover things, and that's what I used, but I think I still got a couple of the actuall stitches out. I don't know why they started doing that. It's a pain.

Yup, it's not meant to stay on. I had the same problem with mine and I even went to Saks to ask the SA's. They told me to use scissors to cut the tag off, and then use a seam ripper or a thin & sharp pair of scissors to loosen the stitches where the tag is sewn on to the jeans, and then it's easy to remove the stitches that are left on & just hanging on the jeans -- the stitches do look like they are part of the regular stitching of the jeans but they are really not, so don't worry. Just do it carefully & your jeans shouldn't get hurt :) Hope this helps.

THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! You guys are awesome. And you were right! The label came off with very careful snipping, and there were stitches underneath so I didn't ruin the regular stitching.
