I'm a 38D & even at that, off the rack is all about gaposis or spillage. So, I sew. Not for everyone, I know, but I paid $150 for a pattern-making program that fits me 100%. I got tired of not being able to find things I like that also fit.

Some people are intimidated by the idea of sewing. But it really takes a little patience at the outset & a little stubbornness. Add a fabulous fashion fabric and you wind up with tailored handmade rather than 'homemade'.

A lot of styles can be made in less than 4 hours start-finish, and you can break that up over a week if time seems tight.

Unfortunately, OTR clothes really are designed and graded for a B-C cup. That ain't changing anytime soon.

my eternal problem too! it drives me nuts to put on a beautiful dress and struggle through pulling down the bust area and then just be spilling out.

strange because i'm only a 32/34B although no on ever believes me. i've been measured several times but i guess they just look larger as i'm quite petite.

If it's not relatively fitted I like like I'm still carrying my babies! LOL!
I tried on a few dresses at Ann taylor Loft today, they fit pretty well. Weren't right for my body shape, but I easily squeezed in the BBs.
That made me laugh!!! But I do know what you're talking about it. Surprisingly, it didn't make me look preggers. I hope not! Unless the fitting room mirrors were playing tricks on me. I think it works because it covers the chest area without making the whole dress stick out in the front. It's not waist defining by any means, but it doesn't look like a sack. It gently falls into the body underneath the boobs.

There's another dress on Nordstrom's website from DVF that looks like it can handle the boobage. I need a lot of dresses for spring/summer because I never wear shorts!

i have the same problem and i am a 34D. so on top i am about a sz 10 and on bottom i am a sz 6~~sometimes a 4! and throw in being short......!
i really hate being out of proportion. i find the dresses that fit are empire waisted. but even then you run the risk of looking pregnant!

im a DD and yes i think v neck dresses and im 5'2 but i dont wear them . My older brothers bugged me and made me feel bad about my bb (big breasts) so i tend to wear something that hides them. its retarded but i have low self esteem in that area.

I have nothing to add about the dress issue -- if you read my thread about bathing suits I have the exactly opposite problem!! I just though I'd empathize on the "breasts affecting self-esteem" thing. It sucks!! It's my small breasts that give me low self-esteem in that area. What is wrong with us ladies?
