I actually love it but it is a little expensive - (292) but I can get over that. My big concern is the flowers - I love the way they look on the dress but I don't usually wear flowers... Maybe they will be nice for spring though. What do you think?

No don't be sorry - I asked because of the honesty here.

Can I ask is it the style or the pattern that you don't like?

I like solids better too :( I just really find that fit flattering and it is made by "Built by Wendy" whom I've heard lots of good things about. And I have so many solid clothes I thought maybe I should branch out.

IMO, the dress can look a little "aunty-ish" with the prints. That's when I visualise myself wearing it. (But you may be able to carry it off)

I personally prefer it without the prints and accessorise it with a nice gold chunky bracelet (like the CC skye ones that Nicole wears) or a nice strand of pearls.

I don't mind the cut and shape of the dress. Its the prints that aren't working for me.

The shape is great and it's not the print that's the issue more the type of flowers, if they'd been roses it would have worked but those orchids just make it look old.

I think there are more flattering prints out there, but I hear ya about the solid colors thing. It's hard to branch out!

Sunshine - It is at www.builtbywendy.com and also at www.revolveclothing.com. It is a little less expensive on the builtbywendy site. I first saw it in Lucky Magazine. The cut is very flattering for me (the boatneck and natural waist instead of the empire) and she is a very highly regarded but small designer in NYC.

Mooks - good point! Now that you say it I see what you mean! They also almost look a little cartoony...

I'm still tempted to try it. My size sold out at revolveclothing already.

I really like this dress - flowers included - you might be able to find something vintage that's very similar to this for a lot less.

That being said, if you have to ask people if you should get it, you probably don't REALLY want it. When it comes to most clothing, people's first instincts are usually right - you either KNOW that something is right for you and are willing to buy it immediately, or if you have to think on it, it's probably only so-so and you won't regret not buying it.

Ohh that is really cute! As to the first dress, I like the natural waist but I'd say nay on the print. It looks like something my mom would wear...and she's in her 50's.
