Default Do you iron your jeans?

I find myself repeatedly ironing two or three pairs of my jeans because the blasted hems never stay flat after I wash them! Does this happen to you? For reference, the worst offenders are my TR Joey Rainbows and my Gap straight leg jeans. From time to time my Joe's Honeys will do this. Do you have any tips on making them stay flatter?

I don't iron the whole pair of jeans - just the cuffs. These two are my shorter pairs (I guess TR and GAP regular inseams are just right for me) so when they're sort of wrinkled they're at that annoying ankle height for me.

No for the most part. I do have to iron the bottom on a couple of pairs.

Starch, Starch, Starch...back in the day I was in a 4-H group to show my horse--the uniform was jeans, a white blouse, and a hat and boots--my husband still cracks up at the pics... anyways rule of thumb was you wanted a strong crease in the pant so we used to spray starch the sh** out of our jeans (goal was they were to stand up by themselves). Not that you want this effect but a little spray starch will prob. help hold your cuffs a little longer for you. Hope this helps

Same here. I don't give a rip. They are jeans. I hate ironing and have shirts I haven't worn in over a year because I keep putting off ironing them.

D'OH! Back when I was part of the police explorers (like a cadet program) I used to starch EVERYTHING. Shirt, pants, and even my little clip-on tie. Looks like I've got to hunt for my spray starch. Thanks! I'd totally forgotten about the magic of starch.

Haha, Yes if they're wrinkled, or if I want a sharp crease in it.

Lol my German exchange student did this, so I always assumed it was a European thing. I guess it would be a good idea for misbehaving flap pocket jeans, but I don't have a good iron.

I know what you mean about the hems or pockets needing ironing. Here's what I do: I put my jeans in the dryer for about 15 min after I wash them & when I pull them out, I make sure the hem is flat & the pockets are too. I pull, flatten, & stretch the denim. Then hang them to dry. The hem/pockets should be good when they dry! HTH!
