I don't wear UGGs any time of the year, I just don't like them at all. But seeing people wearing them in the summer is just the worst, I think they look especially horrible when worn with skirts/shorts.
But, I do like other boots being worn with shorts and skirts during the summer, it just can't be that hot out. :)

I have short black uggs and I wouldn't think to wear 'em outside in the summer. I wear them around the house at night but I don't really wear them around outside until it's cold.

I live in Hawaii, so it's a moot point to even wear Ugg boots at ALL, no matter WHAT time of the year it is. I just graduated from high school, but anyways, it's a private school w/uniform. So yes, that means I have seen underclassmen girls wear their school skirts w/Uggs. I honestly think it's gross, lol. I can imagine how hot/sweaty it gets -- it's not a fashion statement, it just makes you look stupid.

No. I don't see the point of wearing something that keeps you warm when it's hot out. It drives me insane when I see girls where I live (in Florida) wearing Uggs in the summer. It's hot enough as it is, why would you make it hotter? Plus it just looks ridiculous. Like if someone wore a big wool coat in summer. There's just no point.

Heck NO! My feet sweat enough as it is in the summer, Uggs would just make it worse! I often wonder why people do this...I live in NOVA and I see a lot of teenagers doing this...esp the short uggs w/ tall Juicy socks and booty shorts!

I think the same goes for people who wear shorts/thong sandals in the winter. Don't come crying to me because your feet are cold. You're the moron in sandals... in the ankle-deep pouring rain. And no, you cannot borrow my rainboots.

Would not wear ugg boots in summer. With any outfit.

As it is, I am ashamed of them in the winter and cover them with my pants. Winter is just so cold where I live that they really are the best thing to wear. But everyone teases me because I always claimed I'd never buy a pair! haha

So, do you wear UGGS in the summer?

NO

- If not, why not?

Because I dont think I could handle sweaty feet.

In the bay area I see younger, hs aged girls, wearing their uggs in the summer w/skirts and I always wonder if they're sweating to death All of them do it though!

No wayyy!!! Only for winter. It is sooo HOT to be wearing them in the summer. I saw one girl who wore it out with a skirt in the steaming heat on the 4th of July and it looked ridiculous on her! Not functional and trying to hard.

I used to wear my uggs a lot in the perpetual summer that is San Diego. I liked the effortless, disheveled quality of the look. The uggs actually looked really good (or at least I though so at the time) on really toned legs and against really tanned skin.... This went on for a couple of years: up until I was 25 or so. After that age, the look lost its appeal for me and now I'm completely over it... I'm actually surprised it's still around but I do see it all the time around here (particularly on the university campuses & in student-populated areas like LaJolla)...so I'd venture to guess that the ability to wear uggs in hot weather with unapologetic enthusiasm and actually look good while doing it is a function of being pretty young (up to mid-twenties, I think)... In my case, I stopped because it just started to feel anachronistic relative to where I am in my life. My legs are no less toned or tanned at 29 than they were at 25 (in fact I think they are more toned because I've had 4 additional years of exercising) but my attitude about life is less carefree, less exuberant, less young I guess... so now I feel weird wearing boots in 80 degree weather and I think that in order to look good wearing uggs in the summer you have to believe 110% in the look or else --regardless of how sexy you are-- you'll just come across as trying too hard!
