i think i was born in the wrong era, i wish i could wear audrey hepburn type of dresses every single day. i love dresses. i would wear love to evening gowns weekly if i had a choice!! hahahah!! in calif. people love the flip flop and jeans, and wear it everyday. i don't care what people think,i tend to wear what i like, but it's usually on the formal side. so people are always like, where are you going? teehee..

why should we save our prettiest clothes for only special occasions? why not daily? isn't life too short?

i would just love it if i could wear any of these dresses, daily!!

omg i totally know what you mean! i wish i had a reason to dress up all the time and i dont really like the jeans and t shirt thing even though thats what i wear usually.

I totally understand but for me its about the weather. It's just sooo cold 6 months out of the year that you can only wear pants and boots and coats. Coats are sooo depressing because no one can ever see anything cute that you're wearing underneath. Most of the time all you think about is layers and hoodies. I feel like we should all move to the south of France and wear dresses and heels everyday!

I would wear chanel suits everyday to work if I could afford them, and my favorite thing to do is dress up & go to tea at one of the hotels/tea houses with friends.

That said, there is a time & place for casual--but not sloppy. I think many people confuse casual with lazy and sloppy mess.

I love/love dresses! Four months of the year are also, alas, plagued by cold weather But as soon as the weather warms up, I live in dresses! I'd be a big fan of bringing crinoline petticoat skirts underneath dresses back!

There's nothing inherently wrong with casual, but I agree, sloppy is not good. Whenever I'm out and see people dressed head to toe in V.S. Pink items, I want to stop and tell them that they're wearing pajamas...in public. If I have to get dressed to leave the house, so does everyone else

ITA! girls should stop wearing head to toe VS pink sweats, especially with their uggs..eew..i know it's comfortable, but you're out in public.

This reminded me of this girl in the airport, I get traveling in "sweats" or whatnot, I'll give you a slide for looking a mess. BUT this girl had on a red juicy velour track suit (she had been sitting so long you could see the fabric crush) AND 3inch heeled boots. If you're going to wear pajamas/workout clothes, you need to commit, wear the uggs don't put on the dressy boots. That is not style.

Me too! I love dressing up, but it's hard to do so without standing out when everyone dresses in hoodies and Uggs. I hate seeing people in VS Pink, anything pajama-esque, Uggs, flip flops, sweats, t-shirts.

I can completely believe this - lots of people somehow think that putting on a track suit is the same thing as putting on a REAL suit

TRACK suit should be worn when you're doing laps around a TRACK, hence the name track suit..hahaha

I totally agree with you!!!
The only problem is that:
1) if I wear like that people would look at me like -> I don't care too much about opinion of people but I already get that the same, even if I carry Tarina Tarantino's accessories!!
2) comfort. I have to walk a looooot and I have to wear comfortable shoes and cloths.
It would be my dream to wear like that or with some Carries' outfits!

Ugh. I am generally disgusted by how people around here dress. I cannot believe that people will go to nice restaurants in the area wearing jeans or a sweatshirt. Granted, it is a touristy area, by how hard is it to pack a LBD for dinner out?

I am almost always overdressed. I LIKE dressing up, and I feel better that way. Sweats and lounge clothes have their place... in the house lounging!

Maybe because I live on the West Coast, I like to dress casually on weekends. Of course, I appreciate a great dress/Chanel suit or beautiful shoe as much as anyone else, but since I walk everywhere, sometimes my pretty shoes aren't that practical.
