Hi there,
I am debating buying a PARKA style coat from either Canada Goose or The North Face. What I need is a super duper WARM coat and also feminine (if possible.) I greatly appreciate your inputs since both brands are quite pricey! |

I've never heard of Canada goose but I have several things from the North Face including zip up fleeces, sweaters, hats, gloves and IMO you are paying for the BRAND and not the quality. It's okay, but not great. The denali is super popular but the fleece wears out after awhile and it just looks bad. However, I am a fan of their hats and gloves. I can't wear their puffy coats because they make me look like a marshmallow.

Honestly, I hate North Face, but that may just be because everyone, everywhere has one. Although, I don't have either. I would probably use Canada Goose, just because Its not as well known.

Northface. Definitely. So warm and comfy. And for what they are, they're cute.

Canada goose. I love their short parkas! So warm, and imho, look a weetiny little better then Nort face. Its so warm, and the pockets are big enough to fit a extra scarf, and golves in there.
Of course, I have to live in Socal, which means I don't get to use it a lot. lol. |

Canada Goose! I have the Trillium, its fabulous, especially when the weather hits -30 here in Canada!
Canada Goose fill their parkas with all duck down. So warm. Both the Trillium and the Kensington fit very well. It's like you're not wearing a big puffy parka. |

No competition: Canada Goose...I live in Northern Canada and it is really cold here, I'm talking -30 celsius in winter sometimes, and I used to have a North Face; it was ok, but no comparison to my Canada Goose, I haven't looked back since!

I also live in Canada, and it can go to -40 sometimes, I have worn my Canada Goose kensington in that kind of weather with only a short sleeve tshirt under it (and pants of course, lol). It fits close to the body, has adjustable straps on the side that you can adjust to your waist and it cinches you in,and adjustable straps on the wrists too so nothing gets in. It has 2 small hand warmer pockets and fur ruff in the hood.
This is the link to the Kensington http://www.canada-goose.com/80pr_kensington_parka.htm and I wanted this one but they didn't have it at that moment http://www.canada-goose.com/160pr_trillium_parka_.htm I highly recommend Canada Goose, the quality is very good and are very warm for our kind of weather. Believe me, when it's -30 you want to stay warm!!! |

I got my Canada Goose Trillium from a little store in Montreal and I'm really excited to try it out. My boyfriend wanted me to get a North Face but I've heard such good things about Canada Goose I really wanted to try it out.

I just got a CAnada goose jacket in the Trillium style & am wearing it up in the Arctic......It's -39 degrees with winterchill & it's soooo warm. :) The outer shell is thick & is wind resistance. I refunded my brand new Northface thunder jacket already!
Canada goose jacket is actually very popular (although not as popular as northface in the cities), but in the Arctic, I see the majority of people (natives or visitors) wear CAnada Goose jackets. I actually have a very hard time tracking down a CAnada goose jacket in size small in my city before I go up to the Arctic because it gets sold out so fast.
