Default Can I wear this to a wedding?

I was thinking of buying this dress for my friends wedding I have to go to in Aug. The reception is at 5pm at a hotel. Is it too white?

I never know if it is ok to wear white and another color. I don't want to upset the bride.

Oh also I am doing a reading at the church.
TIA

Well, you could ask the bride! It is supercute, but I think I would go with something with a bit more color.

That dress is so cute! However, I also would go with something with a little less white. Just to be on the safe side...

I think the dress looks pretty on you!! It would be appropriate to wear to a wedding, I would say.

i would ask the bride. However, I doubt that she would tell you no even if she felt that way. If you sense any hesitation from her, then take it as a no. It is adorable though.

I think it is fine (very pretty)... with more than enough patterns & black in it to make that non-white KWIM.

What a great dress! I think it would be fine but I would definitely ask the bride, to be on the safe side.

Thanks all for your input. That is not me in the dress, just a photo I found online.

The dress is Alice & Olivia

It's a cute dress, but I think it may be too much white, especially since you will be standing by the bride as you do your reading.
All black is very classy and appropriate for an evening wedding.

love the dress, but I wouldn't wear white or black to a wedding, I'm probably in the minority, but it's such a fun event, I always try to go for other colors

Just my two cents, and keep in mind I'm from the South, but I have always been told that it is a sign of disapproval to wear all black to a wedding.

Although that didnt stop me from wearing black to a friends wedding, but she was a little goth anyway.

Keep in mind that I have no idea what your personality is or what type of wedding you will be attending, but I think the dress posted is too white especially because you will be doing a reading and the same goes for wearing all black. If you were just a guest then I do think that either one of these choices would be fine.

I would look for a dress with a color that's not to busy KWIM

What time is the wedding? Night weddings tend to be more formal IMO. Also, is it inside or outside?
