Can boots over jeans still look good on us short girls?

Another 5'2" chick here who wears that look! Agreed that the boots definitely need a heel or a wedge of some sort to look good.

5'2" shortie here! I wear knee boots all the time, with either skinny jeans or leggings. There is at least a 1.5" heel on every one of my knee boots, though.

That said, I do have a pair of ankle boots that are totally flat. They look decent with skinnies. :-)

Thanks girls! I'm going to give this a try. Do you think I days I want to dress it down I can wear the heeled boots with a Tshirt or hoodie? I've read that's a no-no and that if you want to dress it all down you should go with flat boots. Thoughts? I always get the best advice here!

I think it's defintely a go! I'm 5' 4" and wear skinny jeans w/mid-calf boots that has a heel. it's one of my fav fall looks!

I couldn't do heels w/ a sweatshirt but I could w/ a swanky tee, especially w/ a cool long sweater over it.

I love the look of skinny jeans and boots, unfortunately I own neither. But I agree with the others--I think it would be all about proportion, and if you get that right you can pull of anything.

I would love to see pics/example of shorties wearing boots/skinny jeans though!

Oh don't be scared! You should def try it. I hate how we put labels on ourselves such as too short, too fat, too skinny, I see boots on shorter girls all the time. I don't know who your fashion icon is but some of the Disney girls (you know them) they are on the more petite side, they wear boots all the time and with everything, they look good and I bet you will too.

I took the plunge and bought a couple pairs of boots today with some skinny jeans and I am thrilled with them! I found the most amazing pair of dark brown heeled boots on sale that I cannot wait to wear!

I'm probably going to try them on Saturday before the Halloween party I'm going too, so I'll be sure to snap some pics!

I also got a pair of black slouchy type boots that are more casual and I'm also pretty happy with them. Yay for fall fashion!

I am 5'1 and I do it all the time also..I do heeled boots, riding boots, ugg boots...With heeled boots I usually wear a more fitted top for some reason. WIth riding or uggs I wear a long tunic type usually I wear leggings with them.

A trick if you dont want to wear skinny jeans is put a kneee high stocking over your jeans and your boot slides right on.

Exactly! and Ashley Tisdale, there is also Eva Longoria, Jessica Simpson and tons of other celebrities, Posh too. I am 5'5 but I always wear a heel, wedge you name it, I wear it.
