Default Bloc Party Concert Attire?

I'm going to go see Bloc Party in about a week, but I have no idea what to wear. I know it's just a concert, and that nobody cares what you wear [but really, they do]. My outfit has to be functional and decent looking... and look as if it was effortless. Oh. and there's a chance I might meet the band, so all the more reason to look decent for these talented men.

I don't want to carry a purse, so I need a pair of jeans where the back pockets close [so i can shove my cash, id, tix, camera] without fear of it falling out [i like to go to the middle of the madness] Any suggestions? Preferably black, but if that's too difficult, regular blue denim will suffice. And straight legged.

And as for a top, I was thinking something plain, but I have to look decent as well. Never know who I'm going to run into, you know? I was thinking my indigo tri blend AA V neck. Yes? no?

And for shoes... I don't even know. Lace ups, I'm thinking my onitsuka tigers...

Any comments appreciated. Even the ones that tell me I'm being silly for caring

Oh no. Not silly. I agonize over these things too, especially since band-meeting usually involves pictures... you want to look good, of course! However, I usually bring a small bag anyway -- relying on pockets is difficult and can be scary in a crowd when it's easy to get pickpocketed. If you are dead set against it though, what about a cute pair of cargos?

Tell us how it goes. I just love Bloc Party!

I think dark clothes in general look casual and cool. I always go for clothes that look cool, are comfortable and functional at these gigs.
I'd wear a plain dark tank top (so if you're in the mayhem, you don't look too gross when you get out), straight legged jeans (or shorts cos their gigs are usually nuts and get hot), small cross body bag (because there IS the risk of things getting snitched, like schadenfreude mentioned and it makes your outfit a bit more flexible in terms of carrying things), and comfortable sneakers (so your feet don't get stepped on, and you won't lose a flat or flipflop).
Good luck, have a blast there!!

good idea about a tank...hmm... that might be the way to go... and a purse? oh dear. I don't think I can let any of my babies go through such suffering! [i'm usually the girl that ends up in the air] hehe

thanks for the input you two!
