Hi Girls,

I´m next monday for a view days in NYC (near park avenue).

Could you please give me a tip which store is the best in this area??

I was during my last visit in Saks. Great store.

What do you think about Nodstrom? Barneys? Are this shops near by Saks? Just to have a feeling about the distance.

I would like to have a look for jeans (rich and skinny, true religion...) and for christian louboutin and alexander mcqueen. Means high level brands in germany.

And a really important question. Are theses big store open on monday the 26th of May??? I really hope so :)

well, Saks is on 5th avenue and 50th street, and bergdorf goodman is on 5th avenue and 57th street. it has lots of high end brands like true religion, rock and republic, as well as a shoe heaven section dominated by manolo blahnik. ofcourse, they also have christian louboutin, chanel, prada, gucci, all of them. and yes, they are open on monday, from 12 to 6pm.

barneys is on madison avenue and 61 street. they also have everything you want. they are open on memorial day, 10 to 6.

have fun with all the great shopping...lots of sales starting this week too.

If you are going to just one store, go to Barneys. They have tons of jeans and Louboutins. They also carry Alexander McQueen. In my opinion, Barneys is more fashion forward than Saks (though Saks is larger).

Bergdorf Goodman also has everything you are looking for, but it has more of an uptown attitude.... I feel like an older crowd shops there.

there isn't a Nordstrom in manhattan btw. but if i had to choose, i like Saks the most, then followed by barneys and bergdorf. mainly b/c of the promotions at saks. barneys and bergdorf are more stingy when it comes to EGC, selection of discounts, etc.

ok. I will have a look at barneys + bergdorf and if I have time... then Saks and Nordstrom. But barneys and bergdorf do not have sale at the moment?

barneys already has up to 40% sale, for clothing, shoes, some bags. and bergdorf has 30 to 40& off all departments, shoes, bags, clothing, etc. all right now.
