Default Beach Engagement Pics - Outfit Help Please!

My fiance' and I are getting our engagement pics done in about 1 month at the beach. I originally wanted to go pretty casual (jeans, etc.) but my fiance' made a good point that everyone is very casual in their pictures. So, now I am looking for a nice dress - still casual, but a bit dressier. I want something flowy. What do you all think of wearing a maxi dress? I can't visualize it! Anyways, any ideas of cute dresses are appreciated! I prefer a dress that has a little bit of volume, as compared to the plain type, like the gypsy05 dresses. Anyways, I hope this all makes sense. Suggestions and ideas, please!! I really like this one from Victoria's Secret.

Yay for the maxi , nay for the dress & look above. Way too casual bohemian. Especially those leather bracelets and the hat.. eeww
I like the line, it's very flattering for most body types, and if you find a dress in a nice bright color (turquoise, coral red, indian yellow, bright emerald green, amethyst purple , even a stark white) and of good material, go for it. I also suggest gold accessories, like gold sandals, a gold clutch, gold hoops, bangles etc...

I like that turquoise suggestion. If you have a nice tan, white would look really pretty! Since you're on a beach, it will accentuate your glowy skin. :)) Gold accessories look good with turquoise and white! I think lily had great suggestions

Thanks for the suggestion. I was in no way going to wear the cowboy hat!! LOL. I really like the idea of wearing white. Besides the gypsy05 dresses, does anyone have any suggestions of white maxis that are in a spmewhat affordable price range?
