whew, havent been on here in a few days!

pinkgoldfish - ive been eyeing that top too, it looks so cute!

kittykittycatcat - i love the raglans! they are a bit on the short side. im 5'4 and when i first put them on i thought they were kinda short (i like my tops long). ive gotten used to them tho and i really do live in them! i wear them as much as i can i got the tri blend raglans (large) in athletic grey and tri indigo. layed flat they measure about 23-24 inches long and about 22-23 inches wide if that helps. they drape very nicely. honestly u should probably try them on in the store... especially since ur taller cuz the length is a bit of a problem. itd be great if they were available in different lengths...

HOLY CRAP........... I just got my orders today and their sizing is huge!

Some reviewers on the website said to go a size larger on the FINE JERSEY T-DRESS. I'm usually a medium, so I purchased a large and oh boy...what a mistake! I think even a medium would have been way too big!!

The tri-blend v-neck shirts are big too!! I purchased a small and they're floating on me! I could've have gone with the x-small.

Does anyone know if these items will shrink? Do the colors bleed at all? I'm going to wash them with HOT WATER and place them in the dryer on high heat. Hopefully, they'll shrink and cause the fabric no harm!

Oh...and how do I wash them? Inside out? I'm afraid the fabric is going to pill up...

theyre pretty similar in my experience... the tri colors (indigo, evergreen, etc.) tend to be a bit larger (but not by a whole lot)

treschic35- that sucks, sorry to hear that everythings too big

the shirts ive had for awhile do seem to shrink a bit, i think theyve gotten a couple inches shorter... (i always wash w/ cold water and dry low heat). havent noticed any bleeding with anything... and it couldnt hurt to wash inside out. it may start to pill if u wash the clothes too much i think

*brittany*... I just washed them in very hot water and placed them immediately in the dryer and they have seem to shrunk a bit!! YESS!! I'm hoping that if I wash it 2 or 3 more times that it will shrink to my size. Its good to know that the shirts don't bleed, so next time I can wash them with other colors and not have to worry like I did earlier hehe.

Yay! Glad 2 hear it worked! hopefully you'll get it to the size want after a few more washes

Ya I'm glad the colors don't bleed onto each other too although I'd be careful with red (I don't have anything red but it seems like a lot of reds bleed...?).

Good luck with it all! American apparel sizing can be tricky, kinda sux but its worth it once u get it figured out

The tri-blend v-neck shirt DOES shrink. Mine shrunk alot and it still fits nicely and loosely! The colors do not bleed though.

I have three questions:

How do the shirts fit? My body is somewhere between a pear and hourglass so I always like to keep the fit snug around my waist because if not then I can risk the chance of looking slumpy (is that a word??).

Also, has anyone bought their dresses?

They have some cute styles but I'm not sure if it's something that needs to be tried on.

BTW, how's the quality?

I'm sure you can tell that I'm an AA newbie LOL.

I actually don't wear anything under my white deep v-neck tee's and I don't think they are see through ..
I usually wear a nude bra as well though, and mine are a little loose, so maybe if its tighter it is more see through?
I have so much in my shopping bag right now,

btw Liz ^ the unisex shirts are very loose, I usually wear XS and I am pretty petite, (5'2, about 110 pounds, 34b, size 25/26 jeans etc.)
and also, the quality is great. their stuff is really soft and well made
