Last night after our kids went to bed, DH and I had a couple of glasses of wine whilst looking at paperwork! I mentioned that I was going to a birthday party for a girlfriend tonight with a SATC theme, and inquired as to whether he would like to help me pick an outfit! After a little cajoling...he agreed, and even picked one of the three outfits pictured himself. I set him free in our closet...and told him to pick something he thought would look good! Typical male...picked the little black dress, but really impressed me when he picked the evening bag, and then found the matching shoes (I have about 150 pairs!!!). I would love your input...I am leaning towards outfit #3!!!

Outfit #1- Vintage evening dress, Prada shoes, Follie Follies clutch (I actually wore this dress the last time on our honeymoon 12 years ago!!)

Outfit #2- Pucci scarf, Alvin Valley pants, Gucci shoes (which you can't see), Steve Maden clutch.

Outfit #3- Cavalli top, Freedom of Choice jeans, Sergio Rossi shoes, vintage bag.

I think the first and second are a adorable and more SATC themed.
You can never go wrong with a black cocktail dress.
So my advice is 1

Wow.. ANn you have a stellar figure!!

I'd go with 2 or 3.. if it's in a more casual setting i.e. bar restuarant, house, etc. If it's in a more formal setting, upscale rest, country club, etc... definitely #1

I LOVE outfit #2, as well!!! I think DH did pretty well picking out outfit #1, although my choice of shoes and bag would have been different!! But his next favorite was outfit #3!! Will wait for more chiming in....

oogiewoogie....thanks so much for the compliment!! I was so happy the black dress still fit...and a little shocked!! I have had 3 kids since the last time I wore it, and although it was me against the zipper for a few minutes, I prevailed in the end!!!!

Love #2!! How did you get the Pucci scarf into a top like that? Or was it like that originally?

I folded the scarf in half (now a large triangle), and took the point, and tied it onto a necklace. I put one layer behind the necklace, one layer in front, and tied in a small knot. Then I tied the rest in a large knot behind my back!! It is super-easy!!!
