Man, I wish that I had a Trader Joe's to be disappointed about--I guess that we have a Central Market, so that is kind of equivalent.

Whole foods (called wild oats here) salad dressing. Specifically the Italian, it tastes really weird.

You return it after you've tried it? I've never heard of that, I don't know if I could do that... I would feel bad

You could take my whole foods, wild oats, and TJ's and I'll happily have your Central Market! When I lived in Houston, I loved going there and Eatzi's! Their deli/takeout and bread selections are so much better! Consider yourself lucky!

yeah you can do that.

Semi-embarassing story

One time I was at TJs with my mom and she was telling me to get a new cereal... and I asked her, "what if I don't like it?" and a store worker who was walking by said, "then you can bring it back!"

I ended up liking the cereal haha...

what I thought was GROSS was:

I was in line to pay at Whole Foods and the lady in front of me had tried like 3-5 products (while she was shopping) that she decided she didn't like (some chips, carob chips, some dried fruit, a boxed drink) and she just told the cashier that she didn't like the stuff so didn't want to pay for it. And she didn't... The cashier just took the open packages and put htem under the counter... I think that's abusing the privilage!!

No way! Those are delicious!

I don't like the horseraddish hummus at TJ's. I love the garlic version and decided to try the horseraddish- it was soooo raddishy. gross!

Oh man I totally miss Trader Joe's most especially their very very affordable wines. Who would've thunk you can get incredible wines for $3 a bottle?!?!> They don't have Trader Joe's here in Utah and I email the website every so often to petition to open one here....

As far as disappointments, I wasn't too keen on the Organic Black Bean soup...a little too blah for my taste...

A $9 papaya we bought from WF a few days ago looked delished, but unfortunately it wasn't. I'll stick to buying papaya from Costco when they are in season. It's cheaper and the taste is far superior.

Things from TJ's we did not like:

Beef Shepherd's Pie (too bland)

Chicken Vindaloo Rice Bowl (too dry and tasteless-not enough flavor)

Shrimp Thai Red Curry Rice Bowl (same as above-too bland)

frozen French Onion Soup (too salty for my taste)

Quesadeilla (spell) frozen food isle @ Whole Foods

took it home, tried it and wanted to puke immediately. Tasted like pure crap!

I'll mail you mine! They've been taking up space in my cupboard for almost 2 months now and I'm sick of looking at them!

the same thing happened to me . i was at TJ's with SO and i was looking at some snacks he wanted to get and was like, "what if they don't taste good" and apparently i was standing right next to the customer service desk-then two men behind it said if you don't like it just bring it back.

Maybe we should send this list to TJs... I'm sure they'd like to know when their food sucks...
