That's hilarious! and so true. They also think that the meal must include a variety of vegetables in the same dish. I'm happy they try because it could always be and has been worse. But we basically eat the same things people who eat meat eat....sans the meat!

We have a wonderful vegetarian restaurant near hour house and it's really, really good. We were told that meat eaters wouldn't miss their regular choices and they were so right. It's also very popular. We live sort of the middle of nowhere so I find it an odd choice for any kind of restaurant, but it works!

i recently switched over to eating vegan but i didn't realize how difficult it was. i think it got worse when i moved out to texas, too. i don't feel like paying $10 for a salad when they have to take off meat/cheese/eggs/etc (usually a salad has something else on it that i like, so just a plain garden salad is a no go. plus that's boring after awhile).
