I've been cooking for the past few years, but this time I'm not. I'm glad because I don't have to stress out, but at the same time, I love cooking and entertaining. We're going to Florida to visit the boy's family this year - it's my first thanksgiving away from my family.

This year it is just my parents, my two sisters, and I having Thanksgiving together. All of our family is in Northern Cali so we are not able to make it up there for the holiday. But, we are going to have a huge feast!! My youngest sister is home from college so she wants to eat as much "homecooked" food as she can.

So...we are having:

Turkey & Ham cooked in our Kamado BBQ
Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes
Cranberry Sauce
Cream Corn
Green Bean Caserole
and LOTS of desserts!!!
Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Merigine (sp??), Sweet Potato, Apple, and Fudge

It might be a little challenging because our oven went out last night! So, if we cannot get it fixed before Wednesday, we are going to bring a couple more of our BBQ's home and cook everything on them. I know it may sound weird to cook your pies & such on a BBQ but it soooooo good!!!

mmmm...Thursday can't get here soon enough!!!

This will be the first Thanksgiving that I haven't gone home. I think it is also the first Thanksgiving my bf hasn't gone home. We are eating dinner at my place. I am making roast turkey with sage butter, sausage fennel stuffing, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, and white chocolate mint terrine with dark chocolate sauce. All from scratch! I love to cook. I am doing something every day so it won't be so much. Tonight I made the dessert, tomorrow I will make the stuffing and sage butter for the turkey, Wednesday I will get the turkey and rolls ready, and Thursday I will put it all together! Hopefully it turns out well.
