This reminds me of a friend who worked over at Northrup. He worked over in a top level security sector for governmental projects. Anyhow, one day an asian co-worker brought to work left-over dinner (fish). After he microwaved his food, the whole entire building wreaked of rotten fish. Keep in mind there are no windows in this building. It was so bad that security with masks had to be called in for fear that it was a bomb of some sort. Hehehe...

Popcorn is another culprit that stinks up the workplace!

I used to work for a company that didn't allow popcorn because somebody left some in too long and ruined a microwave.

I left the place with a splitting headache from it every day. I'd rather smell any kind of seafood than THAT again!!

There was a receptionist at the state atty's office in FL that I saw spraying some sort of spray deodorant under her arms right at her desk in front of everyone. what the hell???

I have worked with attorneys with stinky feet and been in a judge's chambers when someone ripped a silent-but-deadly fart. Oh, yeah, and they stink up the bathroom too. Stinkiness doesn't confine itself to one profession. There are stinkies everywhere.

i would say unless theres like a rule that says no strong odors i wouldnt take the food specially if its like cheesy or fishy, but i wouldnt stop from enjoyin a good meal just cuz other people, its shrimp it doesnt smell bad at all unlesss the pasta had some cheese cuz they could get smelly, i would just heat it up and wait till it gets a lil time temperature and eat and probably keep closing the llid of my container.

and honestly there shouldnt be a rule like that! cuz we work all day n restricted in food! omggg lol well i guess there has to be.

and of the parfum, sometimes people wear some expensive perfume that is soo strong as in bad smell, its not even funny.

You guys are too funny.

Zophie, I will never understand the people who pass gas, and they think no one's going to smell it..I'm always thinking, can you not hold it, or excuse yourself...I will call someone out on this type of behavior.

if you hold it too long (like on a long haul flight) your stomach will hurt very badly, then you'll come to a point where you just think "whatever, rather stink up others than hurt myself", of course if you easily have access to a toilet you should hold it. if you excuse yourself everyone will know who it was

ok, I was being disgusting lol

I think it's terrible if a place told someone not to bring a food for lunch because of its smell. That would be ridiculous.

Bring it, eat it, and enjoy it! If someone says something it just means they are rude.
