There's an attorney that runs on my floor.. and he sprays some type of stuff on his shoes after he runs but that stuff gives THE WORST odor EVER! I don't know what it is and I don't want to ask (of course) but it smells like stinky feet mixed with mint.. OMG I feel nauseous just thinking about it now... lol |

The attorney's I'm interning for this summer have yet to bring fish in the office. In fact, about half of them eat quite poorly and I wish they would eat fish for nutritional value (my boss enjoys making fun of me for my daily yogurt and granola). I did bring in shrimp today in some pasta, it did not stink

eeeeewwww that sounds nasty!
Me? I'd much rather smell food regardless of what it is, as opposed to some chemical something or other!

Spoiled, you know what? I will bet the smell of mint is forever ruined for you. It will be associated with Sasquatch Stink from now on.
I had an ex who had really bad foot odor. I mean bad. When he was young his mother would do his laundry and gag. His socks smelled like rancid goat cheese. When he was with me he used to spray cologne on his feet to mask the smell----I can't smell the brands he used now without wanting to puke. And I really used to like those colognes too. |

I always joke about bringing in Korean food (some really ripe kimchi and garlicky Korean BBQ) to work, but it WILL stink up the entire building so I hold myself back.

If it's fresh, it shouldn't be that stinky.

I'm a stay at home mom so I dont have to worry about that
but I am Filipino and we have food that smells... I wouldnt say bad, but just different. So does that mean I only have to bring white people food to work so that it wont offend anybody? But I do understand that some food might be too offensive to others. I think shrimp is okay though.

Obviously they can't say "Don't bring food that stinks" because:
1) Not everyone is offended by a particular smell. 2) It would end up insulting a particular culture's food. In the past two offices where I've worked, there is a "no food with a strong odor" rule, though.

As for the perfume, the fact that it may or may not be cheap isn't the issue. The issue is whether or not someone practically bathed in their fragrance.

A small bowl of vinegar will help to absorb odors.
Put it on the counter, not in the microwave. ![]() |

I had no idea people would be so opinionated about food. lol I say so what, if it's a problem they will tell you. Others should stop being so uptight.

we (almost everyone in the office) had salad with some canned thuna in it. I bought a quattro formaggi pizza one time, smells pretty strong too, but no complaints
